"Well, well, well..." said a mysterious voice. Eggman turned around.
"Metal...ATTACK!" Eggman boomed. Metal Sonic's red eyes were glowing as he whirled himself towards the cloaked intruder.
The cloaked intruder threw his cloak aside, revealing a coat of red spikes that looked like Shadows', and punched Metal through the wall and into outer space.
Eggman was shaken and stuttered, "W-We can t-talk this over...right...?"
"No, a job is a job." said the hedgehog bitterly, and with that he wound up a punch and, using air force, punched a hole straight through Eggman, killing him instantly.
Red looked down at the dead body with great disgust. "Mission accomplished, my lord..." he muttered as somebody landed with a great thump behind him.
"...great job Red...great job..." his master rasped, "...you will truly succ-"
"Enough rattling, old man." Red responded.
His master, also known as Mephiles, disappeared as Red turned and walked out of Eggman's base.
