Along the walls of Portland, Oregon, a young vixen, Philosopher, grows up a rather simplistic lifestyle; filled with the luxeries of being a pet instead of a stray, living the life of fending for oneself. Ever since she was young, Philosopher has dreamt of what comes beyond her city limits; the mountains of Switzerland, the bustling cities of New York, or perhaps the undisturbed beauty that comes upon visiting islands faraway.
Whatever it is she wishes for; Philosopher knows all too well that the chance to ever catch a chance to experience them for herself. However this all changes upon meeting the mysterious Mr. Callisto Delany. Never before had she met another fox as smart, or carefree as he was. Before she even realizes it, Philosopher is pulled into his world of trickery and deceit; and the reality Philosopher has always dreamed of reaching may not be reality after all.
