A 'blast' from the past

Zev POV
I had just walked in to the classroom of Ms Kawakami and sat down when there was a sudden uproar in the class. "Well good to see that you aren't skipping today." Ms Kawakami said to me as I walked in. I shrugged, then  mumbled a sorry and went over to my seat. I hadn't been to school in a few weeks because of a 'medical accident'. When I got back I was flooded with questions and I learned that the rumors about me had worsened. I wasn't surprised at that but when I saw the stranger walk in the classroom I felt all color drain from my body. "Settle down everyone this is going to be your new classmate for the year. I know he may be a bit late but please just...just don't be disruptive it's been a long day. Why don't you introduce yourself? " Kawakami said with a smile. "Hey Zev kun are you alright?" Ann whisper asked me. I couldn't make out any words so I tried my best to look like I regained my composure and nodded.
She looked doubtful at me but returned her gaze back to the front. I started at the transfer student as Kawakami pointed to his seat behind Ann and infront of me. I pulled my hoodie over my head as I looked down so he couldn't see my face. I then heard him sit down and Kawakami begin her lecture. I zoned out through most of it but hung on to the parts that sounded like they would be used for a test. The bell run and with that I got up and walked out of the classroom and up to the school rooftop.

Akira POV

I was walking out of the classroom when I saw the student that looked like he shut down when he had seen me. I was going to ask him something when I saw the girl from earlier get stopped by Kamoshita. "*muttering*...damn dog will do anything nowadays...*muttering*" You heard the hooded student say as he went to continue up the stairs, but he was stopped by Kamoshita pulling him back off the stairs by his hood. "What'd you say punk?! Say it to my face!" Kamoshita yelled at his face but from what I could see of his face it just stayed blank, not even a cocky grin. "I said your a horndog trying to get what he wants when it's to good for him." He said as Kamoshita fumed with anger. I noticed that the blond had blushed when Hood man<tm> said the "-too good for him-" part but i ignored it. I looked back seeing Kamoshita  pulling back his arm and went to punch Hood, and I went to tun and stop him but I stopped when I saw Hood holding Kamoshita's fist. "Y'know for a PE coach I thought you would have packed more of a punch." Hood said aggravating Kamoshita, Kamoshita pulling back his arm again and went to punch him but stopped when we all heard a voice. "M-Mr Kamoshita stop this immediately!" I turned my head to see the principal yelling at Kamoshita. While I was observing this I saw The blond girl leave and Hood go back upstairs. "Hey come back here!" Kamoshita said still angry. "Now why would I do that?" Hood said chuckling. Kamoshita mumbled words and then stormed off hitting my shoulder as he passed me. "Holy shit." Ryuji said behind me almost making me jump. I turned around to him and saw him with a shocked but small grinning face. "I've never seen someone stand up to him like that before who is he?" Ryuji asked me and I shrugged. "Should we go and talk to him?" I asked and Ryuji's smile grew as he rapidly nodded his head. We then heard the lunch bell ring signifying that it was now lunch. We both then walked up the stairs to the roof and we stopped at the door which looked like it had been locked but it also looked bright red like someone had melted into the lock. "The hell?" Ryuji said as we pushed open the door.

We opened the door to have the sun beaming down on us blurring my vision. Once my eyes adjusted I looked around to see Hood sitting near the edge of the building facing the opposite direction of us. "Do you think he noticed us?" Ryuji said a bit to loudly I then facepalm as I heard music playing. I recognized it as the song: A blade with no name, as it had been a favorite of one of my friends from my childhood, but for some reason I couldn't think of that friend's name. "If you guys are gonna be up here could you try not being so loud?" Hood asked and Ryuji rubbed his the back of his head nervously. Hood then got up and turned back around to face us. He was wearing a sort of blindfold around his eyes and the shadow of his hood covered mostly the rest of his face. I noticed that there was a small paper stick coming out of the shadow and realized he was eating a lollipop. "Uh so what's your name?" I ask trying to ease the tension in the air. "...Not important, now why did you two follow me up here?" He asked and I explained that he was the only person in the school brave enough to step up to Kamoshita. He laughed, and then looked in my direction. "Well somebody's got to do it and if it has to be me so be it." He said and you all heard the lunch bell ring again signifying it was half way over. "So how did you melt through the school lock?" Ryuji asked and Hood tilted his head in a confuse manner. "Whatever do you mean?" He said with fake confusion and then tilted his head straight up again. "*sigh* I know those footsteps..." I was about to ask him what he meant before a student came out of the doorway of the stairs. "Zev Kun I thought we talked about you coming up here doing school hours." The student said and Zev <Hood> sighed. "And I thought that it would be a lovely place to find a bit more peace and quiet Mako." Zev said as he pulled his hood up more. I then wondered if he could have been someone I knew because that name seemed familiar. Mako <?> then walked over to Zev looking angry and shook her finger in his face. "It's Makoto!" She said as Zev pushed her finger out of his face. "I know Mako, I know. If you want me gone that badly might as well head back to class." He said as he started walking down the stairs. The fifth period bell then rang signaling it was time to go back to class.
