Dammit
Draco cursed to himself as he stared at the letter in his hand. The all too familiar crest and the cream coloured parchment taunted him. He has yet to decide whether he will go to Hogwarts for another year or stay home to get a job and look after his mother.
"I will be fine, Draco. I promise. Don't worry about me. Milly will be around, and I'll invite some friends over occasionally, alright? I'm okay." His mother had assured him last night with a smile and a kiss on his cheek. "Besides, you should be more worried about yourself. As easy as it is to have you here with me, another year at Hogwarts would be a bit challenging but worth it. I'll owl Severus about the potions you will be taking during the full moon."
Draco huffed
If greyback hadn't turned me, everything would've been more bloody easy! How the fuck will I survive the full moon? What if I kill someone? Merlin, this is going to be a fucking nightmare.
He flopped on his bed in his silk pyjamas. He needs to send his reply to Professor McGonagall by tomorrow evening if he wants the letter to arrive on time.
But I- ughh I just- don't know!
He groaned and rapidly kicked his feet in the air. His mind wandered to a certain boy with a messy mop of black hair and ugly grass coloured eyes-
who am I kidding, his eyes are anything but ugly. Draco sighed and wondered if Harry would even be going to Hogwarts next year. He'd probably want a little break from everything since the war. From responsibilities and feeling guilty of broken families...Draco couldn't imagine how he must be feeling at the moment. Well at least he's got Granger and Weasley with him. His mind didn't even want to think about Harry's reaction if he ever found out about it.
He'd be afraid of me for sure. He might not be with Professor Lupin, but it's different in my case. I'm a death eater. A werewolf death eater, a lovely combination really. Draco thought bitterly.
A quiet creak disturbed his train of thought. It was probably Milly going about the house again.
He sighed deeply.
It's been a few months since he's turned and since then his senses had heightened immensely. This made it hard for him to fall asleep at night because while others hear faint footsteps, he would hear loud stomping. However his sense of smell proved really useful.
At the time when Harry was at this very manor and Draco had to identify him, it took every fiber in his being to not inhale Harry's scent deeply, knowing full well that he is indeed, Harry Potter. The sweet smell of treacle tarts and a hint of sweat hidden underneath the smell of dirt, grass and rain.
Well that brought back memories I don't want to remember
He decided he would decide whether or not to go back to Hogwarts after taking a stroll in Hogsmeade the following morning.
It took some time, but after a few more minutes of thinking he thought he should finally get some sleep. After some tossing and turning, he finally gave in to exhaustion and let dreams overtake him.

"'mione, how many more books 'til you're done?" Ron sighed exasperatedly. He was carrying 6 books the size of dictionaries in his arms and trying not to fall from the weight.
"Oh don't be silly, Ron. I still haven't gotten 'Mandatory Defences Against Dark Mages' yet. Professor Lupin suggested that book for an optional extra study material on the topics we'd be learning this year." She stated matter-of-factly.
"Yeah... Sure but 'optional' and 'extra' were the words he used and-"
And that's all that Harry's head could register. He tuned out the rest of the domestic his best friends were having and strolled mindlessly down the aisle of magical books. He traced his fingers across a few spines of books and laughed silently at the weirdest titles:- 'Life of a wrackspurt' by Benjamin Barribone, 'Pitiful Planets' by Paul Pigfarts... Heh that one made him chuckle a bit.
Ding!
Harry turned around and saw a flash of blonde hair entering the store from behind a bookshelf. He would recognise that sleek head of blonde hair anywhere. Malfoy. He was wearing a black button up under his dark green robes that had silver chains adorning them.
Oh. He must be getting books for next term too. Harry thought.
The blonde boy's nose suddenly seemed to twitch a little and he looked around the store.
Harry panicked and quickly hid behind a row of books. Phew, that was close. He let out a breath and wanted to take a peek but he was greeted by silvery grey eyes directly on his emerald green ones and jumped back with a yelp.
"Tsk,tsk"
Harry closed his eyes sighing while steadying his breathing and internally slapped himself.
"Didn't your friends teach you that it's rude to spy on people? I can't help that my good looks are so captivating, Potter." Draco drawled, smirking from the other side of the bookshelf. Harry blushed at being caught and from how close their faces were.
He suppressed a groan and ignored the annoying git, quickly attempting to leave. Where the hell is Ron and Hermione?
"Merlin, Potter. At least apologize for being so indiscreet." You can literally hear the smirk in his voice. Don't blame him, he was wired to antagonise people. His favourite victim being Harry especially.
For what reason? You already know the answer.
Harry stopped in his tracks. Resisting the urge to reply with a sarcastic remark and swivelled around to face Draco.
Draco looked a bit taken aback probably due to Harry actually acknowledging him instead of completely ignoring him like he always does but smirked widely anyway.
"I'm sorry..." Harry mumbled almost inaudibly. It was mostly because he didn't want to start a fight and break the truce they had when he saved this guy's life. A tiny, barely existing part of him hopes they could actually be friends and maybe something more (damn his heart for starting this petty crush in 6th year). Unfortunately, the bigger parts of him came up with a hundred and one reasons not to.
Draco's eyes widened at the apology. He had heard him perfectly due to his heightened hearing but decided he wanted to have a little fun with the black haired boy in front of him.
"What was that, Potter? For a Gryffindor, that wasn't so bold. What happened to the great saviour of the world? Lion got your tongue?" Draco was leaning forward and Harry's back came in contact with a bookshelf. Harry spluttered, trying to form words.
With Draco being this close, he couldn't help but notice some things about him. His cologne was the same (no surprise there) but there was a slight smell of chocolate and something familiar but couldn't quite put his finger on. He also noticed something else, a bruise hidden behind the collar of Draco's shirt. Wait. What is that? And that smell... Where have I smelled it before?
Draco on the other hand was feeling rather pleased with the slight blush that coloured Harry's cheeks and the incoherent chopped up words he was having difficulty in letting out. Draco's lips formed a very satisfied grin and stepped back, allowing Harry to breathe and walk away to find Ron and Hermione.
Harry used to ignore his pitiful insults and well planned ways to pick fights so having the intended reaction from Harry now seemed to give him some motivation.
He had decided to go to Hogwarts after all.
