Today's the day, I finally get to see Ashley and I couldn't be happier. I have been up since 3 am even though her flight isn't supposed to land until 11 am. I am absolutely terrified if I'm being completely honest. We've been dating for two years now and thee two years have brought me so much happiness. I graduate on Thursday which is in five days and then I'm out of Highschool and focusing on my future.
It's finally 9 so I need to get up and start getting ready to pick up Ashley from the airport. I wanna get all dressed up for her but I have no damn clue what to wear. Her favorite color is yellow so I think Im going to wear my babes and barbells shirt. I have no idea what im gonna do to my hair. Maybe ill curl it so it looks better just in case she wants to go somewhere. I'm shocked that my grandparents are okay with her staying here since they don't like the fact that I was dating someone from a different state.
I'm finally on the road and the closer I get to the airport I feel my heart beat getting faster and faster. My mind keeps going to all these places and it's driving me crazy. I finally come to a stop and before I know it I'm a few minutes away from the airport. I realize that I had forgotten to grab her flowers so I stopped off at the store and went and got the prettiest yellow flowers they had. Yellow always made me think of her. I looked at my phone to see if I had gotten a message from here and then I looked at the time. Crap, it's 10:45 and I'm still 10 minutes away from the airport.
I get back into my car and speed off towards the airport so that I will be there in time to pick Ashley up. When I park and look at my phone it's five till eleven. I run into the airport so that she won't just be standing around waiting and right as I get in there I see her, looking as beautiful as ever. She's gorgeous, absolutely breathtaking. Finally she makes eye contact with me and I see the biggest smile form onto her face. I run over to her and give her a hug. After a while we let go but I look into her eyes and hug her again. I never wanted to let go but I had to see her again. I couldn't believe that she was finally home.
I gave her the flowers and she started smiling like the dork she is. Since we're both shy we had been really quiet, so we went and grabbed her bags and headed out to the car. We got in and she started to get on her phone and hooked up her Bluetooth to my car and began to play Day 1. I grabbed her hand and intertwined our fingers. I looked at her and she just smiled and looked down. The car ride back to my house was quiet which we both knew was going to happen but just feeling one each others presence was enough for us.
We pull into the driveway and I finally let go of her hand. I grab her bags and we go inside and right away my dog Gizmo runs to her and she kneels down to pet him. Usually he barks and bites people, but I'm glad that he likes her. I take her bags to my room and go back into the living room to get her. When I get out there she's just laying in the recliner with Gizmo asleep. I put Gizmo outside to use the restroom and pick her up and carry her to my bed. I let Gizmo back in and he follows me into my room and I lay on the bed next to her. As soon as I laid down she opened her eyes and smiled. She began to get on top of me and rested her head on my chest. I wrapped my arms around her gently and kissed her forehead and the next thing I knew we had both fallen fast asleep.
