When is attention not attention
Why cant a cry for help find its mark
Damned with name attention whore
The scarlet letter of the new generation
Cursed with the inability to suffer alone
Quietly ,pragmatically, systematically muted
I only seek meaning and resolution
My cries are an outcry to touch another soul
And yet i take back my statement
I do not seek sympathy
for im not the only one
I want you to tell me the path is clear
It may be a long dark road
But its not as bad as i think
And i wanna tell you the same
Why cant we share
Why must it be silence or death
Why cant i look to you as family and cry
Thousands of voices cry out
thousands more are hushed
Thousands will never speak again
