Hello there, first of all let me put up a disclaimer that I own none of the characters, and the only thing I own is the change to the ending which I made up myself. I wasn't happy with the way the movie ended and I thought I might type up my own version in an one-shot since I felt like it anyways. I will summarize the whole story and only be writing descriptively from the ending, which is what my creation is. Enjoy and drop a comment if you feel like it :P

P.S. Just like the movie, the whole story will be told from Naomi's POV. Here we go!

I was just an ordinary teenager. The most unlucky one of them all.

I could never manage to get the buns I want. Always stuck with the roles that stereotype me being a bookworm. How bad can it get, I guess.

Up till a crow took my book that I just borrowed from the library.

I BORROWED THAT UNDER MY NAME, I HAVE TO GET THAT BACK! With that in mind, I sprinted after the crow, to find myself with an older man questioning me what day and time it was. After answering him, he just stared at me straight in the eye, asking:"Are you Katagaki Naomi?" Surprised, I just answered him:"How do you know my name?" With a smirk, he merely replied:" Of course, I am the older version of you!" He then proceeds to explain to me how ALLTALE records down the past, and in order to protect my future girlfriend Ichigyo Ruri, he has returned to the past to aid me. He then grants me the ability of God's Hand, where I can create anything, from planets to metals.  He is now my Sensei.

With the help of Sensei, I got closer and closer to Ruri through every twist and turn of the events. From the book sale to walking her to her bus stop, we got to know each other better. Finally, I asked her to be my girlfriend, which she agreed to. Of course, I was beyond happy and agreed to it. I started to have feelings for her, more than what I was supposed to have for her anyways. My duty was to protect her and ensure no harm comes to her.

Sensei also instructs me on how things will go and I should just follow them, right up till the Festival. The same one where Ruri was struck by lightning and died. "Quick, conjure anything to fight the bots that are here to ensure history doesn't get altered!" The first thing that came to my mind was a book, which I used to bash through all the bots. It worked!

However, the bots still teleported Ruri to the site of the incident- The Fireworks Festival. Out of desperation, I used God's Hand to create a massive black hole and suck everything into it, including the bolt of lightning that was supposed to strike Ruri. Although confused and shaken, she still seemed fine. Things were going well, right up till Sensei double-crossed me.

"Thank you Naomi, but I'll be taking her to the future now. She will then wake up, after her long coma." Sensei told me with a sad smile.

No.

This cannot end this way.

I slammed my hands against the structure Sensei had put around Ruri, but nothing seemed to break through. He took God's Hand back as well. I was powerless as I watched him leave this world with God's Hand, and also the girl I loved deeply. The world was starting to self destruct from the bots, and I still decided to take a leap into the unknown. It will lead me to Ruri. I just know.

The next time I awoke was seeing the crow in front of me again. It promised to become God's Hand once more, as my "ally" as it claimed to be. With that, I was set to go look for Ruri again. She had woken up from her coma, just like what Sensei had said would happen. However, large numbers of bots started to attack her. Sensei's calculations were off, not knowing that this reality was also a part of ALLTALE's record. After managing to fend off the bots, I still took a hard swing to Sensei's face. He deserved it. For lying and betraying me.

Carrying Ruri on my back, I decided to take her back to our universe and return things to how they used to be, so that the bots will go back to ALLTALE and stop wrecking havoc. I then prepare to bring her to the staircase outside ALLTALE's complex, which has the optimal spatial coordinates for us to return to their original world. With help from Sensei, we manage to outrun the bots for me to create a gateway to transport Ruri back. The hug Sensei shared with Ruri broke his heart.

With one duplication removed, the bots turned their targets onto me and Sensei, as we were duplications that aren't allowed to exist in the same universe. The bots transformed themselves into a larger menace, advancing on me. Even with God's Hand, I still struggled to prevent them from erasing both mine and Sensei's existence. Realizing that only one of us can stay, Sensei simply told me:" Leave. Create another gateway to replace the one that the bots broke. The only way to stop them now is to sacrifice one of us. Between you and me, it should be me. I have nothing left to live for, now that Ruri has left me for good. But the Ruri from 10 years ago, she still needs you. Leave."

"How can I do that? There's no impossibl-" The bots pushed even harder, with my creations fro God's Hand starting to give way already. There was no way I could make a black hole, just like what the crow had told me. The damage would be too wide-spread.

"Just leave already. I'll take it from here. Don't worry about me too much." Sensei smiled. At this point, ALLTALE's data was already rapidly duplicating, with the scientists coming to a consensus to shut down the machine completely in order to prevent any more damage caused. However, that also means that the world we live in now would be split into many universes, even with some being unexplored.

"You have suffered enough too, Sensei. The heartbreak of the incident. The memories of it haunting you. The ache of seeing her in a coma for all these years. The pain from your self experimenting. Is this not enough, Sensei? You have done enough for me and Ruri already. The very least I can do, is ensure you that I will take care of this problem. Once and for all." With that, I made my own decision too. With God's Hand, I conjured something into my hand.

"Please return this to her. Go see her for me, just once more before ALLTALE shuts down. Stay if you want to, but take God's Hand with you as well. Take care of Ruri, as you would. Thank you for all you have done, Sensei." That was the last straw before pushing Sensei into the temporary portal with what I handed him, as well as God's Hand which turned into a crow and flew into the portal as well.

"NAOMI!"

The portal closed, just as the bots pushed a satellite onto me.

Sensei's POV

Naomi. He sacrificed himself for me to live on, and to hand this back to Ruri.

When I woke up, Ruri was already staring at me in fear and anxiety. "Where is he? Where's Naomi?" She asked, those beautiful eyes staring at me. What's different was that I felt no love and tenderness in them anymore. They were filled to the brim with concern and worry, and I hated having to be the one to break the news to her. I hated how powerless I was, and how much pain I caused to the both of them just because of how selfish I was. How ignorant I used to be.

"Gone. It was either me or him." I looked straight at the ground, afraid of seeing her expression of disgust and pain. How could I have let him do that? Instead, I got a tentative step towards me when I glanced back up. She pressed herself into me once more, wetting my shirt with her tears as she hammered my chest with her fists. Regret, pain, she put every emotion into her punches as she wept more and more, her sobs the only sound echoing through the area.

"He wanted me to give you this." I told her, handing her a book. More tears welled up when she turned over the cover.

There was a golden feather on the very first page, as well as a short row of words.

"Believe that we both have loved you all the same."
