"Alright, here are the groups! Find your number and seat yourself wherever is indicated." Mrs. Butterworth says, slamming a white sheet of paper onto the wooden desk.

The students were to get into groups and discuss, write, and hand in their own personal essays about their middle school experience, courtesy of them beginning high school next year.

Fleur slowly makes her way to the crowd of newly turned teens and breaks her way through. Group 6 with Richard Tozier, Edward Kaspbrak, and William Denbrough. Of course, no one called them that. It was only the teachers.

At the corner of the girl's eye she can see the three boys high fiving one another. They were lucky group to be placed together. The boys quickly make their way to the desks numbered '6' and take a seat.

Fleur eyes her best friend, Adelia Bloom, with a grimace. The two never had any luck with group projects and were never placed together. At least it doesn't come as a surprise or a disappointment.

The small blonde slowly makes her way towards her group, sitting down and watching the boys' eyes stare her down. They all thought the girl was absolutely gorgeous. "Well, hello there, gorgeous! I don't know your name but I'm sure it's as beautiful as you." Richie winks at the girl, who simply ignores the comment.

"Uh, hey. I'm Fleur, Fleur Blackwood." She sends them all an awkward smile, looking down at her paper. After introducing themselves, they all get to work. "So, hot stuff, got any good ideas yet?" Richie asks.

Ignoring the nickname, the girl looks up at him with confidence. "Yeah, I wrote a few things down but I need help. I've used the same word too many times and I don't have a thesaurus with me nearby. What's another word for annoying?" She asks, looking around at the boys, who are still amazed that they're this close to a girl.

"Irritating." Bill replies, uncapping his pen and writing down some more words onto his sheet. "Infuriating." Richie suggests.

"Richie." Eddie states, causing the blonde to let out a small chuckle. "Fuck you, dude." Richie sneers. "Oh here we go again.." Bill mutters under his breath, placing a hand on his forehead in frustration.

As Richie and Eddie go back and forth, arguing as they always do, Fleur smiles to Bill and thanks him for the answer. "Oh! And also, how do I spell perfection? I know it stupid but I don't wanna mess it up." The girl asks once again. "You don't know how to spell your own name?" Richie asks, smirking.

"You're funny, but I'm far from it. Anyways, Eddie?" The girl looks to him, but right as he opens his mouth to say something, Richie cuts in.

"Hey! Wait! I still know how to spell it." The four-eyed boy argues, putting his hands up in defense. "Oh come on R-R-Richie! I bet you can't even spell the word smart." Bill says, rolling his eyes.

"I can, too!" Richie replies. "Oh yeah? S-Spell 'it'." The blue-eyed boy challenges, crossing his arms.
"S-M-R-T." Richie crosses his arms as well, waiting for Bill to show defeat, yet he doesn't. "I said spell 'it'. Also, y-y-you didn't even spell smart right."

"Whatever. Spelling is overrated." Richie puts his hand up, dismissing the conversation. "P-E-R-F-E-C-T-I-O-N" Eddie finally replies, earning a nod from the blonde who stayed silent throughout their entire argument.

"You guys seem fun." She smiles, not even looking up from her paper. The boys all look up at the girl, wide eyes. "Well, We're going to the b-b-barrens tomorrow if you wanna c-c-come." Bill suggests, smiling up at her. "That big tunnel that smells like shit? I didn't expect that to be where you'd hang out on the first day of summer." Fleur questions, leaning her hand on her palm.

"It's a long story, but we'd be glad to tell you on the way there." Eddie cuts in, smiling widely. "Sure, but don't expect me to actually walk into that shitty water. That's just disgusting." Fleur places a strand of golden hair behind her ear.

"Yeah, me neither. So gross, right?" Eddie chuckles, but is cut off by the sound of the bell. "Summer! Let's go!" Fleur smiles, high fiving the closest boy to her, which was Richie. "You see that, boys? I've been touched by an angel." Richie smirks.

"Hey, isn't S-Stan's bar mitzvah coming up soon?" Bill asks as they gather their things, preparing to leave the classroom. "Who's Stan?" Fleur asks curiously. "He's our friend. He's cool." Eddie replies.

"So there's this church full of Jews right? And Stan has to take this super Jewy test."
