Berwald Oxenstierna has been in the Broken Hearts club since the beginning. He is the Vice President after all. He joined the club after being cheated on then left by his closest friend and boyfriend, now he's like the comfort mom of the club and cares for everyone. Berwald and Lovino have a special friendship in which you can catch them platonically cuddling a lot. They've both been through so much with each other.
But the Broken Hearts Club is for sad and broken hearts and for sad stories.
It was a cold, winter day. Berwald had just finished classes and was heading to his dorm but being on the student council had to watch for people out past their curfew so he looked around briefly and noticed two shadows quickly running behind swaying trees along with loud giggles. Berwald rolled his eyes but decided not to interfere...that is until he saw his loving, gentle and sweet boyfriend emerge from the other side of the tree along with his close friend. He broke it off with Tino only months later when Tino started getting aggressive when he asked questions, hitting and kicking Berwald to the point of bleeding and bruising then saying that Berwald 'deserved it for being so annoying'.
Good news is that after he joined The Broken Hearts Club he felt safe and comforted by the two people already there. He still felt lonely and felt so depressed and remembered and believed everything Tino said but that was shoved out of his mind by how loving Lovino was. Lovino always helped him out and cuddled him and was there for him.
Eventually, he met Lovino's brother who the leader of the Pining Hearts Club and ironically enough
His heart was mended and started Pining for him.
This was always a secret however and still is. I mean he's the leader of the Pining Hearts Club he couldn't like him! Then Lovino said to Berwald that he might like the vice president of the Pining Hearts Club and he felt horrible about it and Berwald said he liked the President of The Pinning Hearts Club and they fell silent. Then they giggled, then chuckled, then laughed.
