Lunar Windhelm, daughter to the famous witch, Amanda Windhelm, was rearranging her room. After her third time moving, she had a good idea of what she wanted her room to be. Her bookshelves were piled with spell books and random notebooks with different letter that her mother sent her when Amanda goes traveling. Lunar's mother always travels. It's part of her job. Lunar was the only one who looks out for her younger sister, Sky. Sky was turning seven soon. She thought of Lunar of some kind of goddess because Sky was born without any magic. Amanda was concerned when the nurse told her this. All of Lunar's aunts and grandmothers had magic. So Sky was very different from the rest of the family.
Lunar closed her door and put on her black and purple headphones. Even with her headphones on, she could hear her mother entering the front door and placing her purse down on the counter. Why, oh why, did I give mother my spare key? She thought to herself as she walked downstairs, headphones still plugged into her phone.
"Mother, why are you here?" Amanda shook of the rain drops and closed her umbrella. "Well, deary, I thought you would like me to have a small visit after my travel." Lunar knew better than to deny her mother and escorted Amanda towards the living room. "I'm still unpacking, so there are lots of boxes around the house." Lunar's mother dismissed this with a sigh and a wave of her hand. "Honey, could you get me some tea? I am parched." Lunar nodded and walked towards the kitchen. Takada walked out of the bedroom and glanced at Amanda, who was sitting in the living room, waiting on her tea. Lunar shrugged and grabbed the kettle behind Takada.
"She is just here for a visit. She will leave soon." Takada glared at her ''I shall wake up the sleeping beast." He gestured towards the locked door which belonged to their third roommate, Daisaku. Lunar nodded and followed him with a tray of freshly baked sweets. Takada slowly opened the door and walked in. He reached over the bed to grab the alarm clock to see what time it was. "9:23." Lunar nodded and shook Daisaku with her free hand. "NO!" He yelled as he fell off to the other side of the bed. "My mother is here! Get up and GO!" Lunar yelled and picked him up and dropped him into the cold bath. Daisaku let out a small yell and climbed out.
"Fine, I'll go." He picked up the towel and went to go occupy the mother.
Please be honest if this is bad or good. This is a prequel to my book that is coming out later.
