Chapter 1: I'll Find You

I stare at the university in front of me. "I'm here Mom."

I take in a deep breath before opening my car trunk. I took out two boxes carrying them to my dorm.

The boxes were pretty big, so I couldn't see over them as I walked. I ended up bumping into someone as I was walking. The box that was on top fell forward. The person that I hit caught it before it crashed to the ground. 

"I'm so sorry," I apologies as I look at the person. The person that was in front of me was a boy with oceans for eyes, the hair of the sun, and skin the color of sand. 

"No it was my fault. I was to busy playing a game," He says as he fixed the box that he caught in his arms. "Anyways, what's a pretty girl like you carrying all these boxes by yourself."

'Is he trying to flirt with me,'  I asked myself.

"Well, I'm trying to move into my dorm."

"I see, do you need any help?"

"Oh, you don't have to do that," I try to tell him, But he was already heading towards the dorms. 

Instead of stopping him I just followed him. There was an awkward silence on the way to the dorms.

"So your a freshman then," He asked breaking the silence.

"Yes, this is my first year here," I answer. 

"Awesome, I'm a sophmore here, I major in Game design. What about you, what are you majoring in?"

"Writing. One day I want to be an amazing author!"

"That's cool, but why did you come here? I bet there are better colleges. I mean I'm not complaining since I got to meet you." He winks at me.

I just giggle as I shook my head. "My mom always wanted to come here." I look up to the sky as I smile sadly. The fire of that night flashed across my eyes. 

"Hey Earth to the pretty girl," shouts the boy as he waves his hand in front of my face.

"Oh sorry, just got lost in thought."

"Ok, anyways here are the dorms!"

"Thanks again for helping me...um..." I tried thanking the boy, but I realized I never caught his name.

"Ben. My name is Ben. What about you princess," He asks with a wink.

'Such a flirt'  I thought to myself.

"I'm (Y/n)," I reply.

"Nice to meet you (Y/n). Now I'm heading off, see you around." He waves as he leaves out the door.

I wave beack before closing the door behind him. I look around the small dorm. I smile to myself before seeing one box unpacked. 

I sighed as headed over to it. I took the scissors that were on my dresser to cut the box open. I slice through the tap. I open the box to find photo albums.

I took each one out to find a photo underneath all of them. I pick it up to find a younger, smiling me with her arms wrapped around a brunette smiling as well. 

I smiled softly at it before whispering, "I miss you."
