Chapter one: Newborns

Pablo and Jedidiah are sitted in the sitting room busy watching the movie 'Love and Lies.' Pablo is sitted in an upright posture while Jedidiah is lying and placing her head on Pablo's laps. Jedidiah seems stressed and tired due to her pregnancy although she had not been working for the past two weeks....

JEDIDIAH: (breaks the silence) Babe!

PABLO: Yes dear!

JEDIDIAH: Please bring me some cold drinking water, I feel very thirsty plus my head is also aching.

PABLO: Okay (he comes from the kitchen with a glass of water) The weather today is so unpredictable it is so cloudy but the sun is shining so bright. I think it might rain in the evening.

JEDIDIAH: Yeah...or (smiling) it is unpredictable that we might welcome someone new very soon.

PAPBLO: (kissing her on her forehead) You're so funny. Now drink your water.

JEDIDIAH: (taking a sip of the water) Ouch! It's so cold. I think warm water is better. Please do this for me, am sorry if am so stubborn.

PABLO: ( walking to the kitchen again) Don't worry I would do anything for you and my.....oh.....our baby.

JEDIDAH: Thanks dear!! I don't know what I wouldn't do without you...( silence) The baby.......Pab.... The.... Aaah... Come..its coming...

PABLO: What!! What!! ( he comes back running helping her stand and walk to the car)

Pablo is sitting on a bench outside the maternity ward. The doctor comes out through the door...

PABLO: Doc... Doctor how's my wife and my child?

DOCTOR: (with a smile on his face) Your wife has successfully given birth to a baby boy.

PABLO: (one tear of joy rolling down his left cheek) Thank you..thank you so much...

DOCTOR: (the smile slowly fading away) don't thank me yet,, turns out your wife was carry a pair of twins, she has to go through a surgery as soon as possible. Everything is ready for her surgery all we need is to move her to the surgery room.

PABLO: Do anything that needs to be done to save my wife and children....Can I see her?

DOCTOR: Of course you can.....actually it would be better if you went to the surgery room with her.

PABLO: Thanks Doc.
