I swung back and fourth as my dreams caught,
On by one, in my dream catcher.
I reached a sleepy hand towards the sky,
Stretching out, hoping to find a loose string.
Something to pull on, lead me to another land,
A time of daydreams.
Left to right, I sway,
Puffing my thoughts away.
No one wants to be weighed down by heavy words,
Keeping us from drifting into the cotton candy clouds.
The white rabbit knows of my dreams,
His pocket watch tick-tocks me to sleep.
The fantastic creatures I see,
The wondrous possibilities of far off land.
Then my swinging stops swaying,
My back and forth ceases to exist.
I open my eyes to see a dark sky,
The sun tucked into bed.
Oh, how our days swing swiftly by,
Sending us to our beds to wave the night away.
