The Ballerina's Shoes

In the ballerina's room shoes couldn't rest,

because they were arguing who was the best.

The right shoe said that the left didn't matter,

and without him, he would dance much better.

After receiving such grief,

the left shoe decided to leave.

When the left shoe jumped away from the shelf,

the right shoe was ready to dance by itself.

But to perform the right shoe never got a chance,

the one shoe'd ballerina refused to dance.

When to succeed you need a team or a pair,

taking all the credit for yourself is unfair.
