The cold air nips at Kali's skin as she walks her neighborhood. It is now fall, and the leaves are turning colors. She loves to watch them fall from the trees, and to see how mother nature turns green leafs into different colors. She is sitting on her parents porch for the last time for awhile. She just got a place out in the north to live. She just wanted something new, and to start over with her life. She has been through a lot for just one girl to go threw in a life time. She loves her family, but can't stand the memories that come with this place. She wants to run as far as she can from her home state. As much as she loves it, and wishes she could stay the flash backs are too much to handle. She can't get a full nights sleep without having a vivid nightmare, and waking up soaked in sweat. Looking out into the yard she spot the vines of honey suckles growing on the fence. Taking a pair of scissors she cuts off a stem, and puts in water. she wants to try to take something with her from her child hood. Hearing her mother sniffle behind her she turns around. A fond smile is placed on her face as she looks at the woman who gave her strength. The woman who taught her that she can overcome anything that she wants to. The woman who taught her that you can be strong on your own, and you don't have to rely on the people around you to survive. She will miss her the most, but will also miss her father. The man that taught her what a person should be like. The man that taught her that you can't be too hard on yourself all the time. The man who taught her what it means to love and care for the people around you, but also how to have a smart ass mouth from time to time. She has never been so far away from them before, but today the first of many for her. Getting into her four door car that looks like it is busting from the seams with all her belongings. She tells them bye one more time before she leaves.
It has been hours on the road, and she has not been able to stop crying. They know this is for the better, but she hates it. She misses them all so much already and she only just started her new journey. After what seems like ages she finally starts to dry up, and now the hiccups are starting to set in. Her eyes are wanting to drift slowly, and her energy is gone. Lucky a hotel is coming up, and hopefully she can get a room. Pulling into the Birt's hotel she sees that it isn't very packed. Parking up front she takes a deep breath, and counts to ten. Opening her eyes she grabs her bag and walks inside. The inside looks so cozy, and feels like home. the receptionist is a very short girl with raven black hair. She looks about eighteen or nineteen. "Mm excuse me, do you have any rooms that are available?" She looks up at her and then starts asking her questions. "What size bed do you need? How long will you be staying with us? " "I just need a twin, and it only be for tonight." She put in all her information, and then tells her the price. Kali was more than happy to pay for the room. On her way up to the room she ran into wall. "Damn when did a wall pop up behind me?" She only realized she said it out loud when she could hear snickering. Looking up she see's this guy with long white hair with the tips different colors. His eyes a bright burning red color that sucked her in. Once she came to her senses she apologized, and left to go straight to her room. Once in her room she couldn't get his face out of her head, and couldn't stop thinking about what happened. The more she thinks of it the more annoyed she gets. He never did say anything or offer to help her up, and for some reason it ticked her off. Getting ready for bed she hears a knock at her door. She carefully closes her eyes, and listens to the mind of who ever is at her door. Waiting patiently on the other side is none other than red eyes. She gets up and goes to the door to answer it. As soon as she opens the door he holds up her cell phone with a smirk on his face. "Ya know maybe next time you run into someone you can apologize the proper way, and not lose your belongings on the way out as you run." Balling her fist up to try to contain her irritation she takes a deep breath. "One I did apologize to you. Two I did not run away, and three you shouldn't be so close up on someone like that. Maybe then you wouldn't have this problem." Taking her phone from him she closes her door on him. Getting into bed she thinks to herself that it would be funny if she had to deal with him in the future.
