A/N: I've always thought Giyuu was handsome in that he's very quiet and sometimes cold. But I think he's low-key a softie. I was going to post the full story but it's almost 4000 words long and I don't wanna do that to y'all so I'm seperating it into two parts! I hope you enjoy this chapter! Hopefully many more to come!

It was a particularly windy day, the heavy snow outside falling with a downright stubborn consistency. You sighed in disappointment as you prepared yet another meal for yourself for the twentieth time that month, frustrated you had to be alone again.

You ran a humble lodging establishment that you had inherited from your late parents, at first happy to take on the jobs that they were once so happy to fulfill. However, you soon realized just how lonely it could be when there were no guests staying in the lodge. The cold floors and walls offered no solace from the chilly night air and the solitary bowl of udon that rested on the table in front of you seeming so depressing and downtrodden.

It was nights like this you missed your parents the most...

Jingle, jingle

Your body jolted at the sudden, stark sound. It took you a few seconds to finally realize it was the front dor's bell, to which your heart skipped and you rushed your way to the door,

"Coming!"

You reached for the handle and pulled the door open, the cold air automatically blasting your cheeks with frostbite.

Your eyes panned up to met with the dark, hazy eyes of the man that was standing outside in that cold wintery snow and you swear you felt your body shiver just from looking into his eyes alone. They were a most beautiful deep blue and his black, raven-like hair blew in the wind while his familiar-looking uniform was damp with snow. You stepped back cautiously, not really sure how to react to such an intimidating figure,

"Hello..."

The man's eyes narrowed a bit, his mouth finally parting to speak,

"Is this a lodging?"

You nodded frantically,

"P-please come in."

With little hesitation, the mystery man stepped inside. Your eyes caught onto the sword at his hip that barely peeked through from his robe and instantly you felt uneasy.

"I'll show you to your room, uh..."

You were expecting the man to give you his name, but he didn't, he just stood there dusting the heavy snow from his haori.

You felt a little awkward by his lack of reaction, but nonetheless kept your word.

You took your time getting to his room, which was directly across from your personal suite. You'd occasionally look back at the stranger, his eyes always off into what seemed like another world. It was honestly a little awkward since there was no conversation happening. Maybe he was just a quiet man.

"Here we are," you said softly and politely slid open the door for your guest.

The man looked in the room for a second, then looked at you,

"You were eating dinner."

You blinked in confusion for a bit, then laughed a little shyly,

"Well, yes, I was," you clasped your hands in front of you,

"Are you hungry?"

The man looked away as he nodded gently as if he didn't want to admit his weakness.

You've reached the end of published parts.
