What is love?

What is love? That is the never ending question? We all think we know what love is but in the end, do we really? Love is not something that you can measure or that you can buy! Love is a feeling an emotion towards someone whether it be a loved one or family member or friend! Now a days we throw the word love around like it's meaningless and we shouldn't! Some people think that sex is love or that someone buying you gifts is love and yet those may be actions that people do out of love, that doesn't mean that they love you! Love is different for everyone and trust me when I say that some people will think they know what love is when in reality they don't know or will never have that chance! Love should be texting your loved ones and telling them how much they mean to you! Love should be spending time with the ones you hold dear and not being afraid to show them off in public! Love is not to be kept a secret and if it is then it is not true love! Love can be shown in many different forms! Whether it be buying a card for that special someone, surprising them with a meaningful date or gift, surprising them with flowers, encouraging them and supporting them when they are having a bad day or just struggling in general! We all, wait let me reframe that, some of us want that fairytale love that we have grown up watching through Disney movies and romance movies! I don't want to say that it doesn't exist like that or happen like that, but for some people they never get to experience a love like that! Love is of course different for everyone and so what love means to me is not what love means for you! They say there are five love languages; words of affirmation, gifts, physical touch, acts of service, quality time! Everyone has a different love language! Mine are physical touch and quality time! So for me for example; love to me is someone choosing to spend time with me usually watching movies and cuddling on the couch! I also love physical touch so I love holding hands, and being very affectionate! They say when you find your one true love, you will know but is that really true? Love is by definition: 1. An intense feeling of deep affection. 2. A great pleasure or interest in something! And finally number 3. Feel a deep attachment or sexual attraction to! So let me ask you this: have you ever experienced true meaningful deep love?
