Ah yes, the day has come yet again. I couldn't to anything too big to celebrate this year, as it falls on a school day. But I do have a oneshot ready and a few other little things.

I was hoping my new wig would arrive before today so I could do an updated L cosplay for his birthday, but I've had to settle for pics of the old wig for now. Last year I did a cosplay shoot for his birthday and I'd love to do that again, but alas the wig didn't arrive in time 😂

((P.s. when it arrives I'll make a styling tutorial for you guys))

So to begin I shall stand from my seat, tap my glass of fake-wine (because I'm to young to drink) with a spoon, and call the attention of the fellow L stans to perform a speech.

My dearest baby boy L, oh how you've ruined my life in the best way.

Not only have you been my longest running best boy of almost 4 years now, you're the biggest comfort character I've ever had. Better than any friend I've ever had, and even though you're lines on a page you're the best support anyone can ask for.

And of course let's not forget that you've been my first for a lot of things.

My first cosplay, my first anime crush, from the first anime I watched, my first proper oneshot book that wasn't trash and the whole reason I even gained the small amount of clout I have on this app.

You've been the source of my empty wallet, the source of my happiness and the one that helped me write. Without you, and the books, I wouldn't have ever gotten any better at writing. I cringe at the time my minimum word count was 400 a chapter. It's 1000 min now for anyone wondering btw.

I wouldn't have developed my art skills without my constant urge to draw you. I wouldn't have developed my cosplay skills without the tortuous task of styling your wig for four years up to the point it's shed so much I need a whole new one. I'd have never figured out how to use eyeliner properly if it weren't for your cosplay making me have to figure out how to put more emphasis on making the eyebags look tired and sunken.

And thanks to you and your see-through white shirt I have to wear for your cosplay, I've never been more glad to be part of the itty bitty titty committee.

You've helped me improve a lot L.

And not to be all kinnie on main but we aren't too different me and you. Although I'm not a boy, or a super smart detective. But our shared love for cake, sugar, carbs and strawberries, as well our lack of sleep and love for the messy hair with a white top half look is something that connects us.

Being one of the most iconic anime characters means you have lots of fans, but I like to consider myself a loyal one. I mean, one of us fangirls has to take one for the team and get genuinely sad when someone says they don't like you right?

When I finally find a studio, I can't wait to get your logo tattooed permanently on my thigh as a constant reminder of all the good you've done for me and the other fans.

You may be a human frog, you may not be considered a bishonen to the wider anime community, you may not be real, but you'll always have my heart.

I'll finish this with some of the stuff I've done in my life because of this boy.

1) spent fo it years improving cosplay and photo editing to make me look as canon as I possibly can.
If you can't marry your best boy, become him.

2) improved my art skills using L as my model. Which means this years birthday fanart is way better than my old ones.

Using the Halloween Love Live set as inspo, I took the style and spent way too long on a Halloween themes birthday pic. I love my spooky boi.

3) I barely know how to edit after I stopped in 2014 and left video star. But recently I've been trying to get back into it so there's a small birthday themes practice edit for L on my Twitter @ Lawlietslollys ita private but I'll let you guys in. All my edit progress until I get good again is going on my Twitter.
