Since the beginning of human kind there was something called religions. Different gods, ideas, prayers. But we can see that the main idea was there.
The early humans were weak. They needed food so they created god of the seasons, afraid of thunder, they created the god of thunder... We can see that in every single civilisation, ancient civilisation, there was almost the same type of gods (thunder, life, death, water...) that means humans in general in every corner of the globe had almost the same way of life and same belief.
As time progresses humans created technology and discovered things and became the masters of their gods. They concluded then that there was a bigger force, a strongest being, who had created them, and gave them life. The idea of "God" as we know her was created.
As a definition nowadays God is conceived of as the supreme being, creator deity and principal object of faith. God is usually conceived as being omniscient (all-knowing), omnipotent (all-powerful), omnipresent (all-present) and as having an eternal and necessary existence.
But why we never thought that god needs us the way we need him. Without us God can never exist. He needs us to believe in him. Let's take an example,if there's a bottle beside me but no one in the whole universe knows about it, it doesn't exist and it's the same with god, if no one believes in him he doesn't exist. Searching across some religions i realised that there's some ideas about us being slaves, that god created us just to worship him. Well if it's true then god is a sadistic, and i don't think that's the case.
Religions nowadays talks about god like he had nothing but watching earth and responding to our prayers. In christianity god send his only child to save human kind. In islam god send the "wahi" to lead human to the right path.
Well in this infinite universe there's a billions of planet similar to earth with probably a smart life. Why god would be so prejudiced and distinguish us from others? Maybe he just sent Jesus to all of the planets to die on the cross!
I think of all the messengers in history of our species as philosophers. They saw a problem in their societies and they've tried to fix it. And it obvious that they've decided to use the "fear of god" to extend their ideas.
Why it's bad to kill someone? U'll find that it's bad because god will judge u when u die, but u'll never find that it's bad because it's a person just like u and u don't have the right to end his life.
For me God is an infinite intelligence he's not that mighty ruler. He's or most probably SHE'S in some way the universe's consciousness-The reason i said "she" is that i believe that all those wonders in our universe, all that order can't be a "Male" work -We're part of it, and we're experimenting earth as a primary stage of our conquest of being perfect. Of being a part of GOD.
As for religions i believe that they'll be as always, an important but limited stage in humans life. Every era comes with new beliefs and new ideas. Religions for now had been based on "fear", i hope it will turns into understanding "god".
