Chapter #5

Lauren's POV

I woke up to someone shaking my whole body back and forth, I rubbed my eyes so I could focus on who it was.

"Ugh cameron, stop, I was trying to sleep." I said in a groggy voice.

"You need to get up, we are leaving for the airport in thirty minutes." cam said, while walking out of the room.

I looked at my phone. It was 6:30 am. God how early did we really need to get up. I got out of bed and walked to the bathroom. I brushed my hair and decided to put my hair up so I wouldn't have to deal with it. I kept my gray sweatpants on but changed my shirt to one of hayes' football shirts. I grabbed my phone and headed down stairs.

Hayes, Cameron, and Nash were all on their phones lounging around the living room. I was kind of hungry so I grabbed a bagel, and the cream cheese from the fridge and put the bagel in the toaster. While I was waiting for my bagel to finish toasting I just stood their on my phone. At the exact same moment the bagel popped up out of the toaster someone wrapped their arms around me. I turned around to see hayes with a smile across his face.

"You scared the crap out of me" I said

"Sorry I didn't mean to." he replied.

I giggled at myself. "It's okay" I said.

I walked over to the couch and turned on the tv so I could watch Netflix and eat my breakfast.

After I was done all of us loaded all of our stuff in the car and headed to the airport. When we got to the airport we went through security. I walked through the metal detecter and grabbed my bag at the end of the convayerbelt. Cam was behind me and he walked through the detecter towards me. Right as his body passed the machine it started to go off. He ended up having to get a patt down to make sure he had no weapons or other bad things on him. It was so funny. After everyone got through security we stopped at the starbucks kiosk and then sat down in the terminal to board our flight. Some of the boys fans noticed them because there was a huge crowd of girls swarming toward us. After a while the girls went away.

We waited a couple more minutes and then we were able to board the plane. Once we were on the plane, I settled into my seat, pulling out my phone and texting my mom that we were about to take off. I was seated next to the window and hayes was to the right of me. Cam and nash were in a different part of the plane. After the plane took off I cuddled up next to hayes, put my headphones in and slowly drifted off to sleep.

I was woken up by hayes whispering in my ear "C'mon, we're here." I opened my eyes and gathered all my stuff. Hayes led me off the plane and we met up with cam and nash before getting into the taxi and headed to the hotel.

The hotel that we were staying at was really cool. It was one of those hotels where all of the floors were exposed and the middle part of the hotel was open.

Cam and Nash met up with their friend carter, and introduced him to me. Once we got checked in we headed to our rooms to relax for a while. Me and hayes were sharing a room and the other boys were sharing another room. Hayes and I stayed in our room and and watched netflix for a while. After a good amount of time we started to get hungry. I decided to change. We both decided to go out into town to have some dinner. I threw on some jean shorts and a black tee and slipped on some white vans. Before we left I texted cam saying that we were going out and wouldn't be back for a couple of hours.

The hotel we were staying at was right in town so we were in walking distance of most everything. We decided to eat at Five Guys, an amazing burger place. After we both ordered we got our food a little while later and just chatted about the event that was happening at the hotel the next day. About an hour later hayes and I finally finished eating and we decided to walk around a little more.

"Folllow me" He said to me while grabbing my wrist.

He led me to a beautiful park overlooking the river.

"Hayes how did you know about this place?" I asked

"This was one of my favorite spots to hangout when I came here when I was younger." He replied.

"It's...so pretty" I said

We both layed down in the cool grass under a tree looking up and admiring the stars. I was about to say something to hayes when he did something. He abrubtly planted a soft kiss on my lips leaving me in shock as of why he had kissed me.

"Sorry...I've just really wanted to do that" He said

"It's Ok, I kind of enjoyed it." I replied, Blue in a little.

"Um we should probably head back, Cam and nash are wondering where we are." He said in a hush tone.

"Yeah" I said while getting up and walking back to the hotel with him.

When we got back to the hotel I showered and then hopped into bed. Hayes and I exchanged goodnights. I ended up falling asleep thinking about the kiss and what it had meant to me.
