Maybe Or Maybe Not?

Little Oneshot

Only the seventh year .
Word count: 2714, I think.

They became friends over the summer.

They wrote letters and notes and they had little inside jokes.

When he became Head Boy she was the first to know, after his parents and Sirius, of course. And when she became Head Girl, he was the first to know.

They sat together on the train, in the heads meeting, and the rest of the way to Hogwarts. They talked about their summers, even though they both knew every detail, I suppose they just wanted another reason to talk to each other.

They flirted, even though they did not know it, probably just playful banter, they guessed.

I think everyone else knew it was, but they did not want to ruin it. Even Snape! Which is crazy because Snape doesn't care for others'( ? ) happiness, so that tidbit surprised everyone. I mean everyone.

They sat together at dinner and breakfast, they had little food fights, which were quite adorable. They fed one another, that part's kind of weird, they booped each other on the nose with their desserts.

One time when I think she finally realized she cared ,or something more, was when he fell off his broomstick during quidditch.

" So Lils, why are you coming to the quidditch match?" Marlene Mckinnon asked. She was genuinely curious, I mean Lily Evans coming to a quidditch match, it may not sound important but it was quite rare. Maybe it was because of Potter, in both ways ( ha), maybe not.

" I like quidditch, Marlene. It's absolutely fascinating," she said, sounding genuine, but we all know that was a lie.

" Ok, sure whatever you say, Lils, whatever you say," Marlene told her best friend. They kept walking until they reached their seats by Remus Lupin and Peter Pettigrew. If you're wondering why Sirius was not there, well you'll see soon enough." Remus, Peter. How are you two?"

" Fine" Remus answered. Pettigrew just nodded, peculiar. He looked at Lily, for a second and smiled. Then he got up and whispered something to Pettigrew and they both got up and left. Marlene raised her eyebrows but shook her head, anyways.

They talked while they waited. Then they heard the announcer's wonderful voice.

" Hello, all it is I, your favorite announcer, but you newbies may know me as prankster extraordinaire, the boyfriend of our favorite Moony, and best friend of one of those idiots. Or Sirius Black, but who cares about formalities like that? I don't. Well, today I have Genieve Jordan ( Lee Jordan's Aunt because why not?) as my lovely apprentice. Oh, look whose coming, it's another half of the infamous Marauders," he stopped for a second " Oh is she really? She's here? Oh, our little Prongsie is going to be so joyed to hear that!" he stopped, again," Folks guess who decided to come to our quidditch match, the one, and only Lily Evans!" He started to clap which sounded not so good over the speaker ( ? ) " Are you all not going to clap? Wow, swines they are. Aren't they, Moony? Oh don't give me that look, you know what I mean. Wow, Moony did not expect you to do that. Wormtail, did you see that? Okay, you two get out of my booth, Minnie's giving me a funny look," there was yet another pause, lots of pauses. Some rustling around, before finally Black decided to finally speak again.

" So for Gryffindor, we have chaser and captain, James Fleamont Potter. " snickers were heard at that," Then, we have the rest whose names I won't pretend to know. Then we have Slytherin, To be perfectly honest the only person I know on that team is my brother. And I don't even think I know him that well. Actually, I think Potter talks to my brother more than me! I do believe they're friends, Potter will be friends with anything, 'cept Snivelus. Actually, I do believe no one is friends with him because he is a greasy git!" There was faint ' Shut up, Padfoot' in the crowd somewhere, wonder who that was? " Actually, I used to play quidditch, I was a beater, which is quite funny, right Moony?" you could hear the smirk in his voice. There were groans everywhere in the audience, the loudest either Snape or Remus. No telling who." But I had to stop playing because of a terrible accident which has never left me the same."
