Chapter Two.

I stared at the ocean, it was moving slowly, silently.

Where am I?

I took in my surroundings, about twenty feet away to my rightwas the beginning of trees, my left was a dirt road. I looked behind me, I couldn't make out the figures standing there, all in awe. We was all spaced out, forming a odd diamond shape with something in the middle, a huddled figure.

I tried to step forward but something was blocking me, the person huddled on the floor stood up, slowly. Her back was to me, but I could see it arching. A piercing scream sounded through the eerily quiet surroundings.

Hey! Are you alright? I stood still, waiting for a reply, I realised what I said wasn't said aloud, only in my head. I couldn't talk, move or do anything.

I was rooted in place.

A bright light came from the middle of our little diamond. It was blinding, I groaned as I covered my eyes.

I rolled over and hit my alarm clock, that was a strange dream, I thought to myself.

"Knock, knock," my mum opened the door slightly, "darling, do you fancy pancakes for breakfast?" I nodded my head and swung my legs out of bed.

"Okay, better hurry; they only take a few minutes" she smiled and shut the door.

I walked over to my closet, what was the weather going to be like today?

Deciding between skinny jeans and a black skirt with a checkered underneath, I went into the bathroom for a quick shower. There was a slight puddle on the floor, next to the sink.

Suddenly all of last night came back, I controlled the water. Which is totally impossible! I shook my head, I must have dreamt it. The contents of my dream came flooding back. I was on a cliff, four other figures around, in a diamond shape with one huddled in the middle, then a bright light and that was the end of the dream. It was strange, I shrugged off the weird feelings I got and got in the bath.

Fifteen minutes later, I'm in my red skinny jeans, band tee and black converse walking downstairs. "Darling, the pancakes are ready, hurry up before they go cold!" My mum called from the kitchen.

"Or before your father eats them!" I heard a man shout. My dad's home! He only ever comes home every weekend and late at night after I've gone to bed and he's up and gone before I'm even awake. I ran to the kitchen and bear hugged my dad, "daddy, daddy, your home!" I shounded five but I miss my dad alot.

He'sone of thebestlawyer in Americaso he has to travel out of the country for days on end.

"Hey sweetie, how you been? How's swimming going?" I sat next to him at the counter, "swimmings been great and I've been good. How long you back for?"

He got out his Blackberry, looked through it for a few minutes before he said: "I'm here for a few days, then I've got to go New York for a week." I pouted, "okay daddy, as long as your here for a while," my mum placed the pancakes in front of me and we dug in.

I waved bye to my parents as I ran out the door towards my car. It was a second hand Beatle but I loved it all the same, I didn't want one of them fancy cars that most kids my age have or want, as long as it has four wheels, a working engine and not in a bad condition then I love it.

I pulled out the drive way and set off towards school.

I pulled into my normal parking spot, next to Heidi's car.
