The Changed

Chapter 1, Part 1

Flashback

"Hey Angel!"

 I hear one of my friends yell my nickname at me from across the parking lot. I look up from my phone and I see the three walking over towards me. I smile warmly at them as I put my phone in my hoodie pocket and I stand up straight from leaning on my car. 

"Hey guys, did you hear about what happened in New York?" I ask them once they get over to me and give me a confused look and that answers my question. "At a hospital some kind of virus went around inside of it so they had to lockdown the whole entire hospital, when the doctors inside of it stop giving updates about what was happening inside, they sent some people inside in hazmat suits. When they went inside everyone was either dead or dying." As I was explaining we got inside of my car and I started to drive towards my place. I looked  in the rearview mirror to see what Liam's and Oliver's face looked like, after seeing their shocked faces I looked back at the road. "The scary part is that it was only in two days."

"I really don't see the reason why they would share that because it could cause panic also has there been any other reports of the virus anywhere else?" Ashley ask with a serious face.

I look over at her with a raised eyebrow and then I look back at the road. "Yes in multiple different states but not in Missouri." I pause what I was saying as an ambulance goes flying past us. "Yet." I say as my eyes follows the ambulance and I shake my head and I continue to drive.

I frown slightly as Laim leans forward and he puts his hand on my seat as he does. I give him a look and he smirks at me, I roll my eyes at him. "What do you think about it?" I ask him as I turn my attention back towards the road.

"Its crazy but it will probably stop spreading around once they get info what type a virus it is." He says as he leans back in seat.

When I see my house I start to slow down then I pull up and I turn the car off, we just sit there for a moment to comprehend the situation then we all sigh at once after we do, we look at each other with a smile then we all start laughing.

"Lets get inside guys." I says as I open my door then I get out and shut it. I walk to my house and I unlock the door. When I get inside I turn the lights on as I make way to the kitchen.
"Do you guys think that it would spread to here?" I ask as I dig around in the fridge for a drink.

"No it won't but it likely that it could." Laim says as he gets up from the island he walks over to a drawer and he gets candy out of it then he sits back down.

Oliver beds his head agreeing with Laim. "He is right you know." He says after a minute of thinking. "But lets say it does hit here we should get supplies that we may need, such as bottled water and canned goods since it will last longer.  Also we should stay away from others just be safe." As he finishes talking I sigh.

"That's a good plan and all but people will do that exactly that so we should go to place that they wouldn't." Ashley says as she looks at the three of us and we all nod our heads agreeing with her.

"Alright lets stop thinking about it for now and lets relax." I say as I get up and I stretch. I walk into the living room and the others fallow me as I do.
I sit down down and I grab a controller, I turn on the t.v.

After playing hours on the Xbox with Liam, we take a break and we look over at Ashley and Oliver. I see them cuddled up together and sleep I take out my phone then I take a picture of them. I stand up and I walk into the kitchen to get something to eat. As I open the fridge Liam walks up behind me, when he get close enough he wraps his arms around me tightly and he lays his chin on my shoulder.
