The Beginning

You were sitting with your friend, Ethan, beside you on your crimson red couch. You were watching your favorite show called The Dogs. You stared intently at the screen, wondering to yourself how did you come to like this boring show? You may never know.

You look over at your best friend, he was like an older brother that was obsessed with Dr. Pepper. He was overprotective, like he is with all of his friends, but you being the youngest of the group, he treats you like a baby-child. You find it quite funny sometimes how he holds you close and strokes your hair in attempts to calm you even though you are hardly ever upset. You stare at him as his dark brown eyes bore into the top of his Dr. Pepper can as if they would shoot lasers out of them at any second. His brown hair falls over his eyes as his gaze shifts to a stain on his dark green hoodie. He sighs a bit before turning to look at you, realizing that you had been staring at him the entire time and the show had changed to Assistant How since The Dogs program had ended for the day.

"You okay?" Ethan asks you, trying to get your attention with a wave of his hand in front of your face.

"Yes, I'm alright..." you respond quietly, looking over at the television since Assistant How was interrupted by the news. You weren't listening anymore, you didn't care very much about it. Your thoughts race through your head until a knock sounds throughout the small, four-person apartment. Ethan gets up to answer it, revealing a person you thought you'd never see again.

"What do you want, Andrew?" Ethan asks angrily, his fist clenching around the golden knob of the dark oak door.

"Me...? Well, I came to ask you if you wanted to join my army...!" Andrew inquires you with a smug look on his face as his light ginger hair fell over his blue-green eyes in a shaggy, angsty way.

"Um..." you start, not knowing what to do since you were always indecisive.
