Prologue
"Cee! OMG! welcome back!" Bati sakin ng childhood bestfriend kong si Akira.
" I've missed you Kira! Kamusta na sila tito?" tanong sakin ng kababata ko kasabay ng mahigpit niyang yakap. Natatawa naman akong niyakap siya pabalik.
" They're doing great and less stressed as the company's been really stable. what about tita and tito?" tanong ko.
"They're doing good as well. They've missed you dearly. You're probably jet lagged and tired from your flight. Punta na tayong sasakyan?"
During the ride, we talked about how things have been while I was out of the country. She was telling me about her experience during highschool and how stressful it was.
"Beau's very excited to see you again. He was talking about plans he has for college for the three of us." natatawang kwento sa akin ni Akira.
"Alam mo naman yon, puro nalang plano di naman natutupad." tawa ko.
"Hay nako. Di mo talaga siya sineseryoso." tugon niya. Namimiss ko na yung lalaking yun. Di niya kasi ako na bibisita sa sobrang busy niya sa highschool life niya na kasama na doon ang kanyang studies, being part of the student council, and part of the varsity of basketball at his school. He also doesn't have enough time to visit me because of friends and practice but when he has time, he tries to call me. Akira has visited me a few times back in L.A while I was still there so that made up for it.
My family moved to L.A when I graduated elementary. Since then, they have always been interested of staying there and taking care of the company that lolo Paps built after trying to expand our company.
Our company is a clothing company that has been running for a couple of years now. Some of our works have been featured in Paris fashion week and different runaways last year. That really helped draw attention to our company which helped it stabilise. My high school life was a bit of a roller coaster back in L.A. It was both fun and kinda lonely, since Akira and Beauden were not with me.
Akira and I just talked the whole ride home catching up on more of the stuff that's been happening in our lives lately. Sanaol talaga si Akira, napakadaming nangyari sa high school life niya, habang ako, well I partied every weekends that I'm free, but highschool just sounds so different in the Philippines.
"Kamusta na yung jowa mo dati? ano nga name nun? Theo ba? " tanong ni Kira sa gitna ng usapan.
"Matagal na kaming wala nun noh. Parang di lang talaga nagwork yung relationship between us since we were just so different. and plus, I just never last in any of the relationships and talking stages I've been in. They just give me the ick." sabay irap ko.
I also don't know why that happens to me, I really just wanna experience the cutesy and corny relationship things pero di ko talaga alam bat di ko kayang tumagal.
Binigyan naman ako ni A ng napakatusong tingin at bigla nalang siyang tumawa. "Nako nako. sabihin mo lang na stuck ka pa kay Beau-"
"HOY ANO BA! DI KO NA CRUSH YUN! NUKABA PUPPY LOVE LANG YON!" sabi ko habang hinampas siya sa braso. tawang tawa naman si Kira.
Di talaga siya maka get over na nagustuhan ko dati yung lalaking yun. And talking of which, yes, it's the guy of the trio, Beauden. Well he was my first crush. The three of us have been friends for God know's how long. Magkakabarkada kasi yung parents namin since hs so plinano na rin talaga nilang gawing magbabarkada yung mga anak nila HAHAHAHA. Kung sila pa, and I quote,"we better keep the legacy of this friendship going". May mga kapatid naman yung dalawa pero kaming tatlo talaga yung solid.
Beau became my childhood crush kasi siya palang naman yung di ko kadugong lalaki na nakakasama namin dati lalo nat stirct si Papa when it comes to boys.
