"Babygirl , I wish I could take you with me but I want you to finish school before I send a plane for you." I rolled my eyes . " I looked up schools in California. I can go with you..Don't leave me in Baton Rouge Daddy." "Finish school first I promise babygirl."

"Lyri !" My Bestfriend yelled at me. " Bestfriend I'm sorry what were we talking about ?" I asked her she smacked her lips. "It's a party around my way tonight, you coming ?" She asked showing me the flyer.
"Melody we have a project to due tomorrow. I want to finish school with a 4.0." I told her as we walked to my Infiniti coupe. We both had a half of day at school. "That's why we're starting the project soon as we get to your house." She said smiling getting in the car. I laughed opening the door getting in. I started the car and pulled off.
"We have to hurry because I have to go get a outfit for tonight." She said turning on the radio Chris Brown x Heat played through the speakers. We started singing she was recording us on snap. Me and Melody have been bestfriends since we met in 2nd grade.
I pulled up to my Aunt Keisha's house where I stay at. We got out the car and walked in the house. "Mhmmm auntie cooking !" Melody said running in the kitchen. "Fat ass!" I said laughing at her I walked in the kitchen. "Hi baby!" My aunt said hugging me.

I live with my Aunt Keisha (my mom's sister) because my dad took a job offer in California. My mom died from breast cancer when I was 10 years old.
"Hey Auntie" I said hugging her back kissing her cheek. I sat at the bar. "You hungry?" She asked I nodded she started making my plate. I looked over at Melody stuffing her face. I started recording her "You better not post that !" She said flicking me off.
"It's Friday night y'all going out ?" My Aunt Keisha asked us sitting my plate down and a glass of iced tea in front of me. She made some Shrimp and Chicken Alfredo with Garlic Bread.
