One night we had a fight,
A fight that was very big.
A fight that couldn't be healed,
By sticking together or something.

We all left in tears,
With terrible thoughts,
That seemed to last for years
Without ceasing to stop.

The throbbing of my head,
The moisture from my eyes
Never to stop.
Never to dry.

I thought I knew them well,
They thought they knew me too.
But after everything that's happened,
This was never true.

There is a large obstacle between us,
One we can never overcome.
An obstacle so high and wide,
That we can't tell what's going on.

We seemed to have cast a horrible spell,
A spell that can't be broken.
So complicated and confusing,
Never to be undone.

We are fighting a civil war,
A bloody war against ourselves.
Destroying ourselves one by one,
Until we all drop dead.

Everything we've done,
Is written with pen.
It can't be erased,
Nor written again.

We're standing on ice,
Ice so paper thin.
With so many cracks already,
I'm surprised that we haven't caved in.

The raging river beneath us,
The shore a million miles away.
We'll never make it to safety,
Just anticipate the future of icy cold water, taking us away.

This was the final blow,
That the ice could take.
It opened up and swallowed us.
Now, we will never awake.
