                                      Dear Mirio,

Before we graduate I wanted to thank you. Ever sense second grade youve always been there for me. Even when I ran away. You are my best friend, and up until freshman year you were my only friend. Im not a people person. Actually humans in general terrify me. But I guess you knew that already. For some reason you have always been really easy for me to be my self around. I really like you, Mirio. Maybe even more than as a friend. I wish I could have told you this. I never got to tell you how I really felt. Im so sorry. I should have went with you. I wish I could have been there to stop them. I wish I could have gotten to tell you how I felt at least once. I really am sorry. I should have been there.

                                                                    I miss you so much,

                                                                      Tamaki Amajiki

The night was really peaceful. It was dark out but there wasn't a cloud in the sky. The stars were glittering beautifully far in the distance. We had just finished our Junior year at UA high and were staying up all night long playing the same game over and over in attempts to beat it. Once we had lost our seventh attempt at beating the game there was a loud clatter coming from outside the house. Mirio turned to the front door, alarmed.

"Stay here, Tamaki." Mirio said, somehow staying completely calm as he slowly sat his controller down and got to his feet.

"Wait! Mirio, where are you going?" I asked, my voice full of concern.

"Im only going to take a quick look." He replied, his voice becoming a whisper  as he walked closer to the front door.

Once he was out of the house it didn't take long before Mirio came running back inside the house and towards the chest that held our hero suits. He grabbed his hero suit and started to put it on. I jumped up and went to grab mine as well.

I could hear him mumbling to him self while he pulled his costume on. I heard him say the word villain and as I grabbed my hero suit, but he saw and took it out of my hands and threw it across the room. "No, Tamaki! Stay. Here."

I grabbed onto his arm when he turned back to the door. "Mirio-"

He cut me off only to tell me to stay again. well, yell for me to stay.

His yelling startled me which caused my voice to crack badly as I spoke. "Okay! I will!"

He tried to walk away again, but I wouldn't let go. So many thoughts were running through my head. What if I lost him? What if he dies because I cant help him. What if-

"Mirio," I began to stamper again. "I-"

"I have to go!" He repeated as he phased out of my grip. I stood there frozen in my own thoughts as I watched him walk away and out the front door.

It wasn't till he was gone that I was able to finish what I was saying. "I love you."

I pulled my hero suit on anyways and tried to follow but he had stuck a big boulder in front of the door. I was only able to push it open enough in order to watch as the battle happened. I stood there, helpless as I watched a tiny girl with big buns in her hair shove a knife into Mirio's stomach.  He was only able to keep going a little while longer before he collapsed into a puddle of his own blood.

A hideous shriek escaped my lungs as I tried to call out to him. "MIRIO!"

The girl looked over at me.

"MIRIO!"

A smile crept across her lips as she stared into my soul.  She licked the blood off of her knife and started laughing. "Your hero is dead, lover boy!!"
