Chapter 0 : The box

Jon was walking down the side walk. It was raining and just about to go dark. He was covered with his navy blue hoody to keep him warm. After what had happened he wasn't in his natural mood. He didn't feel like talking to anyone or smile. All he did was think.
To protect himself from the Pouring rain he hid himself in an ally. The ally was full of garbage bags and cardboard scraps. He didn't pay to much attention to it until he heard a soft sound. He look at where it was coming from and saw a faint pink glow. Despite being under several trash bags the glow was vary noticable. The bright spotlight hooked him to check it out. He pulled the greasy bags aside to reveal the source of the light. It was a little container that was decorated with jewels, it was scratched as if it had been through a lot. He picked it up and examine it. He didn't know what it's purpose was but it looked nice. He decides to take it with him. A treasure like this has to be showed off. He took out his phone and texted a group labels 'Friends'. He sends the reply, and rushes out of the ally into the rain holding the box.

The rain is slowing down almost to a complete stop, by now the sun had already gone down past the horizon leaving the yellow sky. Jon runs into the local park that he had known for years ever since he moved here. In the park there was a building that was usually held for teams in sports but it was empty. He went up the steps and went to the railing where he saw three shadows run towards him. They went up the stairs and saw him. They came to the light and showed there recognizable faces. "Hey Jon" Said Diego. "What was so important to come all the here right after dinner?"  Said Carlye. " Give Jon a break Carlye, he has been through a lot." Said Franky. "Thank's for coming here with me. I was just walk and I found this." Jon reveals the box from his hoodie. "That's it?" Carlye says. "What is it?" Said Diego.  "I don't know I just thought it looked cool to show you guys." Jon said. "What's in side?" Said Franky. "I don't know, I haven't tried it yet." Said Jon. "Let me try." Jon gave the box to Diego and tried to open it but struggles. "Locked". "Here let me try." Said Carlye. She takes a Bobbypin from her hair, picks the lock and unlocked it. The box opens and beams of light shine their faces blinding them. "Close it Close it!". The light dies down and able to see it. Diego tries to close it but it was stuck. "What's happening?!" Carlye screamed as Diego's  hand was being sucked in. "It's taking me in!". Franky tries to pull his arm out but his hand gets sucked in too. "Oh no!". Franky grabs Carlye's leg but the box was strong and pulled all three of them. Jon had stepped back and sees his friends all get sucked in. Jon was scared but he stood there shocked. "Don't worry! I'll save you!". He runs to the box and jumps in. The box spins and closes shut.
