Grade school. The time where making friends is the easiest. We were so young when we met for the first time in the same grade school as desk partners I'm surprised at how fast we clicked.
"Y/N go sit over there by Taehyun." my teacher said to me on the first day of classes. I looked over where she pointed and I saw a small boy, who looked a tad scrawny for his age sitting at a desk pair, shoving an eraser up his nose.
I walk up to my new desk and see my name on the corner on a little pink card, making me smile as I put my brand new pencil case on the desk, looking at the little boy in front of me and tilting my head.
"Hi, I'm Y/N, and I like penguins." I say as the boy finally notices me, his eraser falling from his nose and onto the desk below him, sending a big smile my way.
"Hi Y/N, I'm Taehyun, and I like penguins too!" You said happily, quickly picking up the eraser and showing off how it was penguin shaped, making me a little jealous but I hid it.
"Cool. We're going to be friends now" I stated bluntly and you nodded in agreement.
"As long as I can be the penguin in games." You stated, making me pout as I sat down, but nodded.
"Fine, as long as I can have your eraser." I asked and you nodded, handing over your eraser to me, making me smile, happy I had just made a new friend.
But maybe it was because we were young and stupid enough to want to be everyone's friend.
