Thinking Out Loud

Chapter 5

Almost a month had passed and London hasn't shown signs of life, yet the Doctors told us that she is still on a stable condition.

Since then, my life has revolved around in two places : The school and the hospital. I regularly go to school and still attend basketball practices and games, afterwhich I go to the hospital to watch over. I can't remember the last time I went home, much more going inside my bedroom. And it must be dusty now. Dionne, my mom, brought in a small table so that I can work on ny papers even if I'm in the big H. It's basically balancing everything in a single beam. I had to keep my grades good because in four months I'll be graduating college, and at the same time, had to take care of London until she wakes up.

Ed Sheeran's song, "Thinking Out Loud" was playing on my plugs that night when I was tapped by Wesley, London's Dad, telling me something.

" We are going out to buy food for dinner, is there anything you want? " he asked. " Anything would be fine, thank you. " I replied, when Quinn, who was also there, spoke, " Analeigh and I wants pizza, Sir. " Wesley chuckled with his statement as he and Clara seem their way out.

I began to put my plugs again when I saw London twinched her finger.

" Wait. I think I just saw her move her finger. "

London's parents hurriedly went inside again as Analeigh called the Nurses' Station for assistance.

" Come on baby, wake up for us. " her Mom said.
No response.

I was about to think that seeing her move is a fluke when she started to OPEN HER EYES.

The Doctors started to arrive in the room and basically checked everything. Vital Signs, Blood Pressure, and everything that would make sure that she really is fine and awake now.

The Doctor started to remove the thing that covers her mouth and nose and instructed her to utter any word.

" Mom. " was the first word she said as Clara, who was already crying, held her hand.

" Okay, can you tell us something ? " the Doctor continued.

" Well, I'm London Austin, uhmmm. Graduating this year and uhhh. Do we really need to do this ? " she asked the doctor, who was shocked with what she said. " I'm fine, see. Though my head is a bit achy. "

Her mom and dad hugged her and the three of them started to cry. Analeigh approached her and she open-armed hugged her.

I was already crying at the moment and I came near her and hugged her instantly. But when I thought that everything was already okay, we were shocked with what she said. She let go of the hug and asked me,

" Who are you? "
