They say that you learn the most from experience and that its best to start early. Well, when my father, Obadiah James Tucker, said that I would soon be the captain of The Weeping Widow, I didn't think it would be this soon. I mean I'm only 14 for goodness sake! I don't know how to manage a ship! Well, they say you learn the most from experience.

I guess I should start off with the day of my birth. It was a cold February morning, 14 and a half years ago in a small house on the coast of  Wexford, Ireland.I don't remember what my mother was like for she died shortly after I was born and my father passed 13 years after her. I was born Braiden James Obadiah Tucker, but most people call me  James. I will not proceed to continue in the act of going on for hours  like some stuck up  little landlubber and exaggerate on the details of the body the Good Lord gave me but I will give a good short description of myself. I am a full six feet tall, I have brown hair and blue-green eyes, a good heart and some decent manners if I do say so myself. I never had much as a child, just a few toys and some outfits. But the most treasured thing I had was my father until he died. And now I am supposed to take up my  father's trade which is a blacksmith or so I thought.

After my father's death I found a note in the big wooden chest,
full of his belongings that had instructions on what I was to do should he die before I turn 18. The note said that I was to go to the port in Bray, Ireland and there I would find a ship, The Weeping Widow, with the title to the ship in a chest, in the captain's quarters. At the end of the note I read, "These are the Captain's orders, that  which must be followed till they day of death."-Signed Obadiah James Tucker.
