I followed her, watching her as if I was her shadow. Listening to her beautiful voice as she sang a beautiful song that matched her voice so perfectly. Reaching out hopeing that I might touch her perfect delicate skin, but only inches away from touching her I back away, for if I touch her, she will wither and disappear from my sight. So I just watch in silence and hope that one day I will speak a sentence to her and she not be frightened by what I am or where I come from. I'm a hideous monster, with hideous horns, hideous black hair, and hideous black and gold wings. How. Could she take one look at my true form and not run? How could someone with beautiful tan skin and gorgeous brown eyes and beautiful long brown hair that flows when she walks not be afraid of me? Everything about her is beautiful and her smile can make anyone smile just by looking. She was perfect, but just like everyone else she too had her own demons. Her drunk father, who yells and spits in her face, and tells her things like, " You're such a bitch, just like your mother!" He growls at her, " You're the one who killed your mother, it's your fault!" He wasn't wrong, but it wasn't completely her fault. She shouldn't be punished for it. Her mother died at childbirth. There was a complication, and because of it, her mother died. Soon after that, her father started to drink. At least she comes from a better home than I. I would kill to have a home half as good as hers.
