There was a snowflake. Falling. One of the first of the new season. In its slow, winding, wistful descent it happened to graze the unexpected nose of one specific being, Natalie. With such a young face, piercing green eyes that seemed to focus on everything but the big pictures she tried hard to avoid in life and raven black hair controlling the movement of her head at times it seemed. Her hair fell just below her elbows, tickling the backs of them on occasion and weighing down her head at times. It's winter season, we're waiting for the snow, for she hates the cold, but somehow still loves the joy the season brings, the life, the scenery, and the scents. So there Ms. Natalie stood. Looking over a bridge, over a cherry blossom, forest at this point, shivering watching the sun rise covered in layers of jackets. With her nose and cheeks slightly red, she stood watching as the sky's sun seemed to bring more life to everything it's powerful rays touched, in awe she reached out. With shaken hands, to the beautiful petals the harsh winter threatens to take away she went. She smiled. Not just one of the normal smiles you have upon receiving a compliment, but a smile of contentment. This was a smile of pure happiness, of peace. Her hands returned to her jacket pockets. In attempt to warm herself up. She had work at 6 am. She really shouldn't have stayed out so long in the cold. For the wind, it began to pick up, nipping at her face. It threatened to numb her very senses there but yet, she stayed. The wind slowed, down with it was a fluttering little snowflake, that landed on her nose causing her to sneeze. She bundled up and returned on her walk back out from the isolation of the quiet garden and back in to society. The cold is worth it as it seems.
