No Escape

Chapter 1

To start this story off as cliche as possible, Jessica awoke from her slumber and hopped out of bed. Her eyes drooped as she dragged herself through her small house, and entered into the kitchen to grab something to eat. She was home alone for this week since her parents were far away on a business trip. She made herself a bowl of cereal and rubbed her eyes. She put on her school uniform, which was a pink and red dress with tights and some sneakers. Her blonde flowing hair was always annoying to put up in the morning as it was very wavy and thick.
She styled her hair into a ponytail, grabbed a hold of her back pack and shifted it onto her back. She made her way out of the door.

Since it was early in the morning she thought she'd stop by at the pond and watch the sunset rise. She was surprised to meet her best friend, Andy there. He seemed to have the same idea.
He was in shock when he turned around to see Jessica. "Hello Jessica! You gave me a bit of a shock there, I assume you've awoken early to see the sunset as well?" Andy said with a big smile on his freckled face. His brown hair was blowing softly in the wind. 

"Yeah, I guess I did." Jessica replied, smiling. She checked her watch and said to Andy, "The sun seems to be rising late today, it's almost 9am." "Well you know what that means! Let's get to school before we have to get a late pass." Andy replied. Jessica nodded. They made their way to the school as fast as possible. When they got there a skinny kid with a black hoodie was the first one there. "A bit cliche, am I right or am I right?" Jessica whispered to Andy. Andy said nothing but he gave a slight smile indicating he had no idea what she was talking about.

The kid gave a quick glance at them but turned back straight away. Jessica and Andy both decided to stay quiet until the bell rang.
