Its your 1st wedding anniversary with Jelan. You both are so much excited and wished each other at 12 AM. You both did gossip all night. You took a leave today from your clinic to celebrate the day. But at morning, Jelan got a call from the Army Headquarters for an urgent work. He was helpless and went there.
"I'll be back, Nuhu.", he said leaving a kiss on your forehead.
You didn't show that you don't want him to leave. You smiled back. He left smilingly.
Jelan at Cantonment;
''It's the 1 year anniversary of our wedding!! I didn't want to come, leaving her there at home! Nuhu took a leave from her chamber today! But see me, i'm here signing all the freaking files! Major could have given me the work later!", Jelan said to his mate, Captain Lee.
Lee replied,"You're now a captain, Jelan! Nothing do to but maintaining the rules. You should get the work done as soon as possible. I think she knows it too. It was your dream for this job. She supported you all the way. She will understand the urgency. Trust me!"
Jelan's eyes filled with memories and a little bit of tears. "I miss her,Lee", he said.
"There can be no such blessing as having someone supporting you throughout everything. She's so lucky too to have a life partner like you. If she had a call today about an emergency of a patient. She would have gone too and you would known her urgency.",Lee said.
"You're right. I can't explain how much I'm feeling her absence right now. Gotta go home ASAP!"
You, At your home :
"Mom was right. It is quite tough to have much time in hand as an Army officer.", You thought to yourself.
Your phone rang. Its your best friend Jennie!
"Hey Nuha! How's it going?!!"
"Ugh...my bad. He got an urgent call and he rushed there. "
"What?! Are you serious?!"
"Humm.. I saw his face became dull. Had nothing to do. He said he will be home soon."
"That's really sad! What are doing now?"
"I just decorated the home with my fairy lights and cooked some favourite items for him. Don't know if he's gonna like it or not. "
"He's going to love it for sure"
"Hope so!"
Suddenly the door bell rang!
"Hey jennie. Someone's at the door. Talk to you later."
"Oh my my! He came so fast to make you go wild! Hahaha"
"Husss! You pervert! Bye now you bitch"
"Enjoy the dayy babe! Byeeee"
You rushed to the door thinking about him.
It's your neighbour Rose. She came with some sweets in hands to wish you both.
"Congratulations, Nuha!!!" She hugged you. "It's a special day sweet heart!! Where's the another one?"
"Thank you so much Rose. He got an urgent call. Will be back anytime"
"Oho... He got no rest. Ill-fated. Don't worry, enjoy the time when he comes back dear."
"Hmm..let's see."
"I gotta go now. Going to drop my kid at school."
All of a sudden,
"Nuhaa!!", shouted someone at the stairs.
You went to see who is coming. Then you saw Yoongi, one of the old friends of Jelan, coming up by the stairs . You were surprised to see him. Their friendship wasn’t so good as Jelan always disliked the behavior of Yoongi towards you. He always used to get jealous of the thing.
Rose is still standing there. She knows Yoongi too.
Yoongi had some gifts in both of his hands. Maybe he thought Jelan was also there at home. He gave a big smile and congratulated you. He asked about Jelan. You told him about his urgent work. He is standing there expecting you to get him into home.
"Come inside Yoongi. I haven’t see you for a long time", you said.
Rose left the place saying you goobye.
Yoongi is laughing and gossiping about the memories. You served him refreshments. He tries to flirt with you but you don't give him space to do so.
"You have become more beautiful after the wedding", said Yoongi.
"Hehe, Thanks for the compliment. But I don't think so. Getting older day by day"
"NOT AT ALL!! Doesn't he tell you about your Beauty and intellect? I think he can't see it."
"He says it everyday. Even it has become my habit to listen to it everyday. Hehehe"
