YOUR LIFE IS A MERMAIDS TAIL
My life changed on a fateful Saturday. I was at my friends place chilling and her place is simply amazing. She has wooden board walls, plants and paintings everywhere. She decorated the place with a rustic modern feel. She owns the place near the beach where she goes to work at the mall near the beach. I was waiting for her so that we can go our and have lunch. I was feeling thirsty and wanted something to quench my thirst. I walked towards the kitchen island and to the fridge which was sparkling clean. I took a bottle of water with a mermaid on it and drank. I suddenly felt sleepy and decided on a nap.
Zalol came in to find me on the couch and my mouth foaming. She realized what had happened and tries to wake me up. I gears her saying, " Emily, Emily wake up" and I groaned. Zalol's face turned from fear to thrill. She picked up the bottle and felt curious. She pulled a leg form the sofa and it magically held itself together without falling and the leg morphed into a thermometer. She stuck the thermometer into my mouth and took a book from the bookshelf nearby and it morphed into a thermal scanner and again into an x-ray machine. I was mesmerised by how she was doing it. I asked what was happening and she just took a fork from the drawer and it morphed into a hotdog and she said,"Eat this fast" and I was going to tell her how she knew me so well but she shoved the hotdog in my mouth. I asked," can I have some sauce and she just grabbed a chair leg and the chair still didn't fall and the leg morphed into a bottle of Peri Peri sauce.
I was still trying to figure out how she could do that and after finishing the hotdog I asked her how she could do what she can do and before I finished my sentence, she looked at the bookshelf and it morphed into a door. She hurriedly ushered me in and then explained,'' Emily, I have made a serum that if you drink just a sip, it will rewrite your DNA giving you super powers if you drink half the bottle , it will give you three powers and if you drink the whole bottle, you while get five powers. Also, do not drink it again as then it will be too much to handle. Since you drank around half, you have three powers which I do not know what they are but I still need you to keep this a secret." I asked what her powers were and they were metamorphosis, telekinesis and future prediction.
I was flabbergasted yet really excited to figure out my powers. I asked Zalol if she could tell me my powers but she responded by giving me a really long lecture about the space time continuum. So I decided to just let it come when they want to come. When we exited, I watched as she morphed the bookshelf back into a door and we sat down on the couch with its leg back in place. We decided that it would be best to sit and talk for awhile and catch up. I listened to her complain about her job and how tiring it is with all the annoying customers. I replied by talking about how my job as a flight attendant was like hers but in the sky with altitude sickness and when I waved my hands to imitate the people calling for my attention, there was a slight vibration and Laura gasped, "the books on the bookshelf are moving like you hand." I tried to see and it was true, the books were shaped like my hand and when I moved my hand they moved too! I was amazed and tested it out on something else, Laura knew and opened the cutlery drawer and I focused my attention on it and the cutlery inside starting moving too.
We decided to just go for lunch since one power has been found. Laura called it finger animation. She theorised that anything I put my mind too, I can manipulate and it would become a hand. We had lunch at My Nenek's Nonya, a South East Asian restaurant. We had a delicious and fragrant lynch and decided on some shopping later. We stopped by a crazy looking shop which sold accessories like tattoos, necklaces, bracelets and others. I got some necklaces and tattoos. The lady at the counter smiled at me and told me how crystals have mystical powers bringing the power of the stars to whomever wears them. I thanked her and we left the store. I tried on a necklace which had a crystal quartz as its centerpiece and labradorite as its other decorations. I tried it on and felt a surge of power. I closed my eyes to balance myself but then I saw myself, I say that I was not wearing my 'I love marshmallows' shirt but I was wearing a floral dress and when I looked around, I saw myself like how. I closed my eyes again and I was back in my body. I turned to Zalol who does not have an idea of what just happened. I turn towards her and told he everything and she guessed,"I think that the necklace unlocked another one of your abilities which I would call body swapping. You just look at someone for ten seconds then you swap bodies with that person." I tried to use that power on Zalol but it did not work so I suppose that anyone with powers is non-transferable.
