" Stripe! No!" NIght screamed. Me and Rusty jumped up at the same time. All the other cats were staring at the entrance to the cave. Stripe was rolling around screaming while Night was clawing the air in front of her.
" What the heck are you guys doing?" I asked. They stopped what they were doing. Suddenly they looked confused.
" What just happened?" Rusty questioned. There was a huge crowd gathering around the scene. Stripe just collapsed and fell asleep.
" I dont really know... Some cat was trying to kill Stripe!" NIght cried. I no longer trusted this place so I told Rusty and Night to help me carry Stripe and that we were leaving.
" No dont leave!" The kits cried to Night. Night said goodbye to the kits sadly. We walked out of the cave. I heard a groan from Stripe when the water hit her. I had no regrets about leaving this place. It was almost as bad as the forest.
I heard a sob from Night. I knew she had made good friends with those cats. I felt bad for her. Inside I knew though that something was wrong with this place. It felt like it had a bad history and something bad had already.
" This way." I told them as we were heading down the mountian. I caught a rabbit for them and we ate it up. Stripe decided she was strong enough to walk again. I saw a cut on the side of her neck and wondered where it came from.
We were halfway down the mountian when it began to grow dark. We found shelter under a tree and I kept guard for the night in case any birds tried to be sneaky. About halfway through the night when I fell asleep.
" I thought you were going to keep watch?" Stripe muttered. I got up. I should not have fallen asleep. What if one of those birds had attacked while we were sleeping? I shuddered just thinking about it.
" Look what I caught!" Night said when I walked out from underneath the tree. I looked at the prey hanging from her jaw. A huge bird was in front of me.
" Whoa! Nice one... Who taught you that?" I asked her. Her smile instantly vaporized and she dropped the bird then turned away.
" The Tribe." She said sadly. I felt really guilty now. I pulled everyone away from their friends and maybe a place they wanted to stay for the rest of their time. Rusty was probably the only one who didnt mind.
I told everyone to get ready and that we were traveling the rest of the mountian today. It was time to find a new home.
