The Anonymous Player (The Ones Within Reader insert)

Chapter 4 part 1

"I'm giving a special treatment to Ms. (L/n) since this is her first time in a Japanese festival.", Paca shyly said, pointing his fingers together.

"Stupid Mascot! You didn't do anything weird, do you?!", Anya snarled.

"Everyone, please calm down. I'm the one who dressed myself. Paca only gave me instructions on how to wear it.", she reassured.

"No touching..?", Makino came up to her.

"No, he didn't. He gave me privacy, Makino-kun.", she holds his hands in comfort. Fuyu yipped as she sat on Makino's shoulder.

"Kai-san, is there something wrong?", Yuzu asked the boy who analyzes the (h/c)nette dressed from head to toes.

"Good job, Princess. You'll make a good wife someday.", he smirked.

"Thank you, Kai-kun.", she smiled back.

"Onigasaki!"

"Oi! Give that Alpaca a threat, not complementing her!"

"Why? I'll miss myself staring this stunning maiden~", he hugged her from behind, purring beside her ear. The boys blew a fuse. Makino blocked his face, using Fuyu as his cover. Karin and Himiko pull out (Y/n) from Kaikoku's grasp, shielding her away. Yuzu laughs at Anya and Zakuro scolding Kaikoku who completely ignores them.

"(Y/n)-chan might be a good wife." Akatsuki said with his fingers holding his chin.

"Akatsuki!?"

"Ehem. May I have everyone's attention?", Paca interrupted.

"The fifth stage in "Ogre Elimination." There will be a festival for souls of the dead. The Kakuriyo Festival, held in this village tonight. However, ogres will take advantage of the chaos to come and capture virgins. The condition for clearing this stage, is to prevent kidnappings and rescue the maidens who have been kidnapped. The festival is one time event and failure will not be tolerated. Please approach with caution..", Paca explained.

"So it's rescue, not an elimination.", Akatsuki said.

"Of course, if you manage to track down the ogres' fortress and eradicate it, that is True End. However, the ogres this time are cheat-level strength. And I'm not such an ogre to burden you with the task of completely eliminating them.", Paca continued as the air of the festival felt heavy for the group. He lead them to a Japanese house belongs to the Elder of the Village which where they can ask for more details about the situation. According to Paca, the streamers were limited to Four but the stage requires covert operations not in large group. Paca soon left after gaving a Pacamera to Akatsuki.

All of them stand still outside the house, not taking actions. Pacamera flew towards (Y/n) and sat on top of her head. Fuyu growled a bit seeing the camera sat comfortable on her Mama's head but she didn't mind staying on Makino's arms.

"Someone hurry up and go in..", Karin suggested.

"Okay, I'll go.", Akatsuki volunteered.

"Hey!  Wait wait wait! Can you practice some goddamn caution?!", Anya stops him.

"It'll be alright. The elder's house or the king's throne are common starting points in RPGs. They're not gonna slit our throats from the start right, (Y/n)-chan? ", Akatsuki cheerfully said.

"I'm sorry to break your statement but this is the reality,  Akatsuki-kun.", (Y/n) said with concern.

"It's gonna be okay! ", Akatsuki opened the door but a girl appeared with a cleaver on her hands, screaming in fear trying to slaughter him. Thankfully,  Kaikoku reacted faster, holding her arm that has the cleaver and points his sword near her neck.

"Let go of that dangerous thing,  Miss.", the girl drops the cleaver to the ground and Zakuro retrieves it. She crouched down shaking in fear.

"O-ogre? ",Kaikoku thought to himself to watch this girl in precaution.

*Timeskip*

"I'm Kihachi, the elder of this village. This is my granddaughter Kikka. She jump to the wrong conclusion just now..", all of them were in front of the elder with Kikka beside him.

"Tonight, this village is shaking in fear of the ogres. I don't know when my beloved granddaughter will be kidnapped neither. I want to protect Kikka even if it means to lose this old life. About the rule of this village abides, "Receive all festival guests with intent to kill.", Kihachi explained.

"What kind of a rule is that...", Anya muttered.

"It's sounds like you're here to stop the ogres' rampage. I don't know if this will be useful but take this wicker basket..", he takes out a wicker basket that look like a box. Akatsuki an Yuzu starry-eyed at it while Anya stared at it surprised.

"T-this time, it's really like an RPG. ", (Y/n) thought about differently.

'Almost though.', she smiled sheepishly.

"Is it a treasure? An equipment? ", Yuzu rambled.

"Don't be stupid. Now isn't the time to get excited.", Anya opened the basket revealing...

Akatsuki holds the robe emotionless while Anya lift the elder by his clothes, choking him.
"Are you telling us to go? Are you telling us to die in your place?💢"

"Ojii-chan!! ", Kikka cried out.

"Give it back! Return my cleaver!", she demanded Zakuro but he began avoiding her using Akatsuki as his shield.

"S-stop kidding around! Return it back!", both of the chasing aroung Akatsuki.

"I'm turning into a butter. @_@"

"But is it an interesting plan?  If we locate the ogre's hideout, we'll able to save the hostages at one shot.", Yuzu said.

"If they're still alive, that is.", Kaikoku added.

"They're alive!", Kikka exclaimed.

"How do you know for sure?", he narrowed his gaze on her.

"I just know it! Because even through ogres eat human, not all of them do."

"Kikka, that's enough." the elder cut her off. She looked down feeling ashamed.

"I believe in your opinion.", Kikka and the elder stared at the (h/c)nette in surprised.

"(Y/n)-san, why would you..?? ", Zakuro asked.

"She's not lying. Besides, I believed because my intuition said so.", her (e/c) irises glowed a bit earning a surprised reaction of everyone.

"But I don't trust you.." she thought.
