Now You Meet Him

You were waiting in Inkopolis Square for Glasses, the leader of the Blue Team, to introduce you to the S4. It explains why you're wearing y/f/g today. You feel confident to meet 4 of the members, but to meet Rider... you weren't really sure how you exactly felt yet. Anxious? Excited? The same as the others?

Glasses-kun showed up without his team. He notices you, resting on the side of the wall.
"Hey, Y/n-chan!" He called to you near the Shoal. "Come on!"
You dash to them with y/w equipped. "I promised you you'll meet the S4, right?" Glasses-kun asked. "Well, they are on their way here." You can tell he's trying to sound profreshional.

Later on, the S4 showed up, just like Glasses promised.
"Ah, is that Y/n-chan?" One of the members, Army, asked. "Nice to meet you. Glasses told me all about you. I'm Army, as you know."
You looked over to see the inkling in pink you've missed for years. He gasped as soon as he recognized you.

"Y/n!" He squealed as he ran into you in a hug. You squealed and hugged back as you both jumped up and down and spun in circles. The others were shocked of this gesture.
"Oh my goooosh! You don't understand. How. Much. I've. Missed. You. Baby giiiirl!!" He exclaimed.

"EEEE, Aloha, my fabulous bestie!! I still recognize you even after a decade!" You said.

"You still got those bestie vibes emanating, girl!" The cheerful inkling complimented.

"Oh, stop." You said, then you both laughed. Then Army cleared his throat to get his attention.

"Oh, right. Everyone is still here. Y'all can introduce yo' selves!" He said, having an arm around you.

"Mask."

"Skull."
Then silence.

"Dude? You gonna say anythin'?" Aloha turned around and said to the green inkling in the shadow.
He slowly stepped out, stopping where the rest of the S4 is. His arms were crossed as he wasn't making eye contact with you. He stares at the ground, instead.

"H-hello?" You greet, confused.

Your words got his attention. His look changed from annoyed to surprised, as his cheeks color faded to pink.
"R-Rider." He answered, shaking his head rapidly as his look got back to serious. "I'm Rider."
You look back at Army, who gave him the "you like her" face. "What are you looking at?" Rider asked him firmly.

"Ohh, nothing." Army lied, smirking. Aloha has also been smirking at him, too. When Rider noticed that look, his face flushed.

"L-let's just go!" Rider commanded as he speed walked past them.

"Oh, also, Y/n." Glasses said. You face back at him. "You're gonna be replacing Mask today. He's gonna be on a date with Bobble, so you get to fight alongside the S4."

"What?!" You shouted at him. "I'm not at the S+ Rank yet! What if I made them lose and they get mad at me?"

Aloha spun you around and held both of your shoulders. "Y/n-chan." He firmly told your name. "It doesn't matter what your rank is." He pulls out his weapon and held it, and acts like he's in a battle. "It matters if you have motivation and confidence! I know you are A+ rank, lower than ours--"

"-- but we believe in you. You have what it takes to win." Glasses pitched in.

"Thanks guys." You respond, smiling a bit. You held y/w and both you and Aloha caught up to the rest of the team.
