"My Dearest Arya, I hope we can see each other again soon~"

The drive was hot, the sun outside not giving up at all. I stared outside the window, thinking back to the last time I was in Keirsk. It was early morning, the sun hadn't risen, so I knew it hadn't yet been 6am. I was shaken violently by my mother, whom demanded I grab the essentials, throw them in a bag and to head to the car. I was scared of her at the time, and having no energy to dispute her demands, I complied. Little did I know at the time, that'd be the last moments in Keirsk for more than a year. I wasn't even allowed to say goodbye to my boyfriend, Liam. Or the town's alchemist, Alistor, whom I helped out occasionally with his craft. Alistor thought of me as his apprentice. At least I know he would've soon, if not already knew what was happening in my life. My mind switched back to Liam, thinking of him... I managed to get a few notes to him with the help of my sister Josephine, whom is 30 years of age and still lives at home just to help protect me. Liam and I managed to exchange a few notes, but it was quickly stoped by my parents when they found out...

My focus was pushed back in to the present by the presence of a hand on my shoulder, knowing it was Joe, I turned to look at her with a fake smile, to show her I was okay, despite knowing she can see through the facade. In response she shook her head lightly, and patted her own shoulder as a gesture for me to rest on it for the remainder of the trip, or until I deemed I didn't need to rest any more. Only now did I realise the extent of the heat, and the toll it was taking on me. And it alerted me to just how much sleep was clawing at my mind, to give it some peace and quiet for a bit. Making my mind up I nodded to Joe as a sign of thanks, and proceeded to postion myself better and rest my head upon the offered shoulder. Just as my head was comfortable I stopped fighting the increasing exhaustion and let sleep claim my concious mind, giving me peace.

A few hours later and I was vigorously shaken awake by Josephine, she offered a small smile in apology, but I knew that she knew I would want to have been woken up just outside of the town I once, and still call home. My glance and position moved once again to out the window and the world that zoomed by. I noticed the sun was setting and night was creeping upon us. I hoped we wouldn't be in the car long, but knew it would be atleast another 45 minuets. Sighing silently I let my mind wander again. Mainly to what he would think of me if he were to see me now... would he still love me? Did he find someone else? More and more questions ran through my head for minuets on end. I decided at some point to shift my thoughts to Alistor, and my wonder grew rather than the worry that was growing a few minuets prior. I wonder what new things he had invented and discovered in the last year, and if he knew I was returning today, when everyone else expected it to be sometime later during the week.

The rough road became smooth as a sign we had just entered the Town's outskirts. Deciding to tend to my thoughts at another time I looked down at my feet and fidgeted with my hands instead to calm my heart that was ever so slightly increasing every minute of being back here. It helped, but not enough to make much of a difference. I waited for what seemed like hours until we arrived at the mouth of our street. Another few moments and we'd be home, the place I grew up.

I sat up straighter, my hand turning slightly white with my increasing hold. I only am able to relax when Joe puts her hands atop my own. I see my house, and it looks relatively untouched since being here last.

When the car is almost at a stop I jump out, excitement replacing my previous worry and fear. I can't wait to be in my own room again. I hear the front car doors open and slam shut, followed by the back opening and shutting calmly, it's a surprise how the front ones are still attached. My dad sighs clearly annoyed at my sudden burst of energy. I hadn't even gotten my bags, but decided that it would be tomorrow's issue, not tonight's. As soon as I heard the door click open, my father wisely stepped away for me to bolt to my cosy room in the attic.

I jumped onto my bed, the bed adjusting perfectly to my body. But something hit the back of my head. It wasn't heavy, but what ever it was, the corner made first impact with me. I groaned holding the area of impact and adjusted myself to see the item. It was a small box, one jewellery would normally fit in. But again, I noticed my sudden fatigue as my adrenaline left my body. I put the box on my bed side table and turned to make my bed, noticing now, a small envelope resting against my pillow, my name written in neat cursive on the front. I knew curiosity was going to kill me, but I ignored the urge to open that too. I grabbed both mysterious items and put them in a drawer on the other side of my room, to avoid further temptation, and then proceeded to clean up my bed, and some small areas around my room. When I was satisfied enough, I crawled in to bed, a small, genuine smile on my face as I drifted off into a dreamless sleep.
