James had alway been my inspiration, i could never draw as well, or be at funny, but i would always try. I found myself constantly comapring myself to James's work.
"32 MILLION SUBSCRIBERS, KATIE! You hit 32 million!"
I heard my freind, Matt, yell. i smiled to myself and poured myself a cup of coffe, the whole time scrolling through James Comics and laughing hystericaly with each one.
I run Pax studios. It's a multi million dollar corporation i started when i was 17.
It started out as ComicArea52, one of my better name choices, but once my channelpassed 10 million, i got a booth at Pax south, becuase my channel specialized in gaming and comics. My channel had always been just me and occsioanlly one of 5 guys, my close knit group of friends.
ComicArea52 grew until i hit 25 million, when my demand for videos got higher. I eventually couldnt upload 3 times a week, while making origional comics, and posting and editing me playing video games, so i created a solution.
I consulted the people who created, and run PAX south and west with a buisness idea. They set up a time and place, and they heard me out.
I proposed starting a studio. That way i could get videos out quicker, and have a team aiding me, so it didnt get too hard to keep everything running simultaniously.
The board of directors put it to vote, and my idea passed, with only one person objecting. Of course when they told me the news i was stoked, but when thinking about the future of ComicArea52, i couldnt see one.
I decided it would be best to end the channel, and re upload all videos to the new and improved channel, but i was told if i did that then i would loose my contract and my booth at PAX south and west.
After permanently shutting down ComicArea52, and redirecting 25 million viewers to PaxStudios, i was ready to work on the future of my new industry.
I began working all night, for 3 nights in a row on videos, determined to upload 3 videos in a week, just like the viewers had requested.
The first video wasnt coming aong as quickly as i hoped, and the drawling of comics were taking an especially long time, due to new surroundings, and the fact that in my contract i had to do all work in the office scace they had leased for the new company, meaning i was sleeping in the same chair i had sat in all day, and i only got up to use the bathroom, or get water or food.
I had a team coming in soon. A team that would help with witing scripts and editing videos, but i wanted to continue animating my own stuff.
After cranking out 2 videoes, i realized my week was almsot up. It was saturday afternoon.
I didnt want to keep the fans waiting, so i set 2 timers. Each 2 hours apart from each other.
I told one member of my crew, also one of my closest friends, Malcom, to upload the frist video i had already made when the first timer went off.
I then went to a new member of my crew, someone i had never met before.
"Hi, you're Emily, right?"
The girl nodded her head, making her brunette curls bob up and down.
"Yea, Im Emily. "
Emily smiled and held her hand out to be shook. After a brief meeting, i told her my plan and what her role was in my new company, and my plan to get us off the ground.
