[Season One, Episode One: "Catastrophic Miracle"]
From the window of an apartment, a pair of stone grey eyes peered out of a window and blankly stared at the streets below. The eyes surveyed the dull outside environment with boredom, scanning each and every little detail with minimal effort and moving in to the next one.
These eyes belonged to a nineteen year old named Nailyn Velidan, a slightly tall boy with a somewhat pale complexion. His jet black hair was sticking up in a collection of spikes, though they were visibly shiny as Nailyn had tried desperately to gel them down.
He was lying on a couch that had been set up near a window, clad in a white t-shirt with grey highlights and navy blue jeans. He let out a yawn before resuming his tedious entertainment.
A door opened behind him and he turned to face a girl about his age with long blonde hair that reached her shoulders. Her attire consisted of a simple red shirt and a black skirt with white accents. She had a pair of leather armbands on her upper right arm, one ebony and the other orange in coloration. Her name was Tela Sandari. "Read all your books already?" She asked while putting down a bag of groceries she was carrying.
Nailyn simply stared blankly at her, nodding slightly. Tela sighed and walked out of his sight. He didn't really bother keeping his vision on her before darkness quickly clouded him.
"Put that on. We're going to by a few things so few can fill up all the empty space in this apartment. Should keep you entertained, right?" Tela asked, having made clear she was the one who threw the jacket at him.
Nailyn simply gave her a slight glare before putting the jacket on. "I guess if it means I get to stare at something other than the walls or the street, it'll do." He answered, putting barely any emotion into his voice.
Tela grabbed the groceries she had left by the door and started sorting them by the "kitchen" table. "You can get a head start, I won't be long. I just need to unpack things here."
Nailyn gave her a brief thumbs up before exiting the room. He began to walk down the stairs and outside the apartment, shuddering slightly at the cold breeze.
"Was it always this cold? I remember going outside at noon and it was not this cold." He said to himself.
He felt someone tap on his shoulder and turned to see Tela right behind him and still wearing her short sleeved shirt. "Ok! I'm ready." She said, rather enthusiastically.
The two of them began to walk in a random direction, Nailyn quickly questioning his 'friend'. "How the hell are you so ok with this weather? You're wearing a t-shirt."
Tela simply shrugged and replied with "Cause I'm not cooped up in the apartment constantly?"
"You know why I stay up there. I ha-"
"You hate people, I know." The blonde quickly interrupted Nailyn while rolling her eyes. "One of these days, you're gonna have to open yourself up to people other than me."
"And I'll do everything in my power to prolong that event." Nailyn responded, completely deadpan.
Tela simply narrowed her eyes and said "I'll make that event happen if it kills me."
