I like the dark. The dark calms me, makes me think I'm invisible, just how I like it. No one to see my oddities, my differences. Yeah, the streetlights may be on, illuminating the darkened street, but it's fine, I personally walk in tre middle of the road, as if I'm waiting for a car, for an adrenaline rush.
Walking down the street, I close my eyes and exhale, steam leaving my mouth as I do, It wasn't cold outside at all, in fact it was a warm summer night, but I on the other hand, was cold, and ice cube. Apparently I wanted to be that way, isolated from the Earth. So almost naturally, my skin turned as hard at ice, my blood running like liquid nitrogen, with a crystallize figure covering my organs, even if they're easy to break it would be hard to penetrate. Now I'm Mr. Freeze, Sir-Freeze-a-lot, all those beautiful nicknames.
I turn the corner to see a small playground, abandoned at this time of night, obviously, it was getting pretty late.
Sitting on the swings was a boy and two girls. The boy, with black hair and pure white eyes was my older twin brother, Amē. Before the incident, we used to be of Japanese heritage, now Amē really happens to be the only one of us to show it.
The other two looked a little younger, one flaming red hair, and eyes so bright green they glow, she was one of my little sisters, Ryu. Trailer park trash queen, if you asked me.
Finally, the youngest looking and the shortest, Kaharu, or Ash as we all call her. The tiny baby was only 8 in a half. She had red braids, devil horns, tail, and little wings on her back.
"There's the freak!" Ryu yelled with delight in her voice, odd, she never wants me around.
"I believe it's pronounced 'Kyran', Ryu." Amē snarkly says, yet all Ryu does in response is roll her eyes.
"Ready dad! You took forever!" Ash said, her little eyes seemingly full of concern. Little explanation on why I'm called dad by my baby sister, our dad died and I take care of all my sibling like they are my kids even though they are not.
"Did you get lost again?" Amē added me, eyeing me suspiciously.
"No, I just uhh..." i trailed off, in all honesty, I may have taken a wrong turn or two... Okay, maybe I went the the complete opposite direction then I should have.
"He did!" Ash giggled, hovering only a few inches of the ground. She floated over behind me and hoped on my back, clinging to my sweatshirt. I had a sweatshirt on for this exact reason, if Ash was to touch my skin, if I can even call it that anymore, she would be badly burned.
"Sleepy...." Ash yawned, her wings slowing down to add to her exhaustion.
"We should head to the tree house." Amē said, once noticing the tired expression on Ashes face, I nodded. It was getting late, and Ash, even if she was used to staying up late, was still young.
We started heading towards the woods next to the park.
I walked next to Ryu and Amē arguing about the difference between teal and cerulean, but after about 15 minutes we reached our tree house.
"—Anyways, we have that school thing tomorrow." Ryu reminded us, which had also jogged my memorie, We applied to a school for elite schoolers, and the four of us got in.
The three of us climbed up the wooden stairs to what we called home. I gently and carefully got Ash off my back and rested her on the bottom end of the mattress. I then took her braids out and brush through her hair as Ryu and Amē take the bunk bed. Finally I put her brown blanket on top of her sleeping figure and laid down on the top half of the mattress and slowly drifted to sleep.

It was dark and quiet, with a dim light in the middle on the room. I was against a wall, chained up so I couldn't move, lacerations covering my arms. It was as the changing began, and the mutation process was painful, so welts, burns, and lacerations appeared to steal me of my flesh, replacing it with cold, hard ice.
"You must want the process to speed up." The lady said, glowing eyes bright in the dim light. Her voice being sugary sweet, she smiled and my heart dropped, her teeth shining. "Let's add a little pick me up, shall we?" She said, stepping closer and pulling out a small, glowing, silver vial, and a sharp needle. While collecting the silver liquid in the needle, she stepped even closer, until she was inches from my face. "You'll be my perfect little weapon, Kyran."

If I could turn my brain off at night, I would. Dreams are useless to me anyway.

FantasyGod, I find it funny. You see, when the world gets filled with a mutagen, mutating people into what their personality is. It makes me. wonder, why would someone act like a human fire ball? Or a fortune teller? Or maybe a human icecube?
