now I know insignificance

I have always tried to inspire and to radiate positive messages to everyone, especially in series such as this.

But the recent changes in Wattpad has made me realize that words can only take you so far and often actions, though they may speak louder, are futile.

now I know insignificance

I sit now at the back of the class

So my voice can be no longer heard

The tape tightly across my mouth

So I can utter not a word

Walls put up aside me too

So no one else can see

My hands tied to the chair

So I can’t wave, ‘Hey it is me’

In darkness now I sit alone

The blinders on my eyes

Decisions made, no changes due

Why should I even bother to try

The class is now empty

Yet I still sit here alone

The silence is now deafening

I believe I am finally home

For speak not against

The powers that be

Now I know insignificance

I understand minority

For the changes that come

Are firmly sealed in stone

I stand at the rock

Yet I stand here alone

It is not that they don’t care

They may fight, they may die

But when the battle’s lost

Why bother to try
