CHAPTER 7: Just take a chance

I'm drying my hair while watching videos on youtube. This is actually what I do on my free time. Well, actually isa nato sa mga daily routines ko. I'm a big youtube fan.

Di na ako lumabas ng kwarto after I took a shower. I just don't feel like it. Meron akong own mini ref inside my room. Since, I get groceries for myself. pero, it's not like I make my own dinner and stuff. Para parin kaming isang family dito, pero I have my own snacks inside my room in case tinatamad akong lumabas ng kwarto ko. I decided to just eat some yogurt and Orange juice for lunch...

Basically, I spent my whole afternoon in my room. Watching Youtube videos and movies. umalis ata si Hannah kase pag di yun umalis normally she will spend her time with me in my room...

I checked the time and it's almost 7pm and realized I had to get something to eat for dinner. Kaya ayun. lumabas ako ng kwarto, While I was walking my way downstairs. I heard the tv is on sa may sala. maybe it's Hannah or si Tita...

dumiretso na ako sa kusina and looked for something to eat. Pero walang food. And Parang I wanted to eat something filipino so I decided to make Adobo. Yes, I know how to cook. Tinuruan ako ni Lola.

I prepared everything that I needed to cook adobo.

Hiniwa ko lahat ng dapat hiwain ng mardaman kong parang may naka tayo sa likod ko.

"Hannah?" I said without looking at my back. Pero hindi ito sumagot.

Hinaya-an ko nalang. I started cooking..

"Wow!" Napa lingon ako sa narinig ko.

"J-Jer" I was in shock. Bakit sya nandito? I saw him smile at me.

"I didn't know that you cook"

I glared at him. "What are you doing here?"

"Uhhh." he said while scratching the back of his hair.

"Uhhh what!?"

"Chill okay? hannah and yael went for a vacation just for two days."

he said.

"So? Why are you here then?"

"Hannah's mom is also out of town for a medical mission. And Hannah asked me If I can stay at your house while they are away so you have someone with you"

Tinaas ko ang kilay ko. Hannah talaga. i'm 18 and I can already manage myself. I can be on my own.

I crossed my arms "Well, Thank you. But I'm okay. You can go home now"

I turned my back and started cooking again.

"Why are you so grumpy?" I heard him talk. Di ko nalang pinansin. di ko din alam kung bakit. Maybe, because I'm in shock. And dissapointed kase di ako sinabihan ni Hannah about her plans.

"What are you cooking?" He asked.

I felt him doing something in the kitchen. Sinilip ko kung ano ginagawa nya, and saw him preparing the dining table. Napangiti nalang ako.

When I finished cooking. Dinala ko na ito sa Dining table. Si Jerome, naka upo na. I saw him got confused kung anong pagkain ang nilatag ko sa table. I giggled because of his reaction. "That's a filipino food jerome. It's called adobo" He looked at me. Still confused

"Ado-what?" he asked.

"Adobo. have a taste. If you don't like it. We can order pizza" Nilagyan ko ng adobo ang plate nya. He was still in doubt if he's going to taste it or what.

But, Tinaas ko ang kilay ko. And he started to eat it. I saw his face lighten up. And started digging for more "this is so good!"

I smiled a little. Pero inside me, I was jumping and my heart is pumping fast because he liked the food i made.
