Third Person Point of view.

She ran upstairs in pure anger. Her long fiery red hair cascading after her. She didn't miss a step. She ran straight for the bathroom and shut the door and locked it. She stood in front of the mirror with tears running down her face. She tried wiping them away with the sleeve of her red flannel, but no matter how hard she tried she failed endlessly.  She turned her towards the door and slid down her head in her hands as she cried.

Adaline knew something was wrong with her daughter as soon as she came in the door. Adaline waited a few minutes and layed down the knife she was using to chop carrots and placed it down on the cutting board. She made her way up the stairs and toward the bathroom where she knew Burgundy would be. She went over to the locked door and knocked on it. "Burgundy can come in?." "No!" Burgundy called out. Adaline tried shaking the lock, jiggling even nothing. Finally Adaline sat down by the door. "Okay Burgundy, I will wait here until you decide to make an appearance. All night if I have to."

Burgundy didn't know what time it was when she awoke, but she awoke with puffy eyes and a severe headache. She unlocked the bathroom door once she realized where she had ended up. Her mother fell back against Burgundy with a thud. Adaline awoke startled and looked up to Burgundy with a small smile. "I told you I would wait here all night if I had to." Adaline said. It made Burgundy forget what had happened earlier for just a quick mintue and replaced her frown with a smile. She helped Adaline up and then rubbed her eyes. " What time is it.?"  Burgundy asks. "About 1 in the morning." Adaline says. "Where's Mason?" Burgundy asks. "He's here in his room. I had him just order a pizza since I never finished dinner." Adaline said. "Sorry Mama." Burgundy said. "It's okay baby, I wanted to know what happened with you today at school?. You came home so upset."

After settling in the living room with a carton of Ice cream between the two Burgundy finally spoke up tears begin to return her voice cracked. "Todd and I broke up." she said. "Oh honey." Adaline said pulling her into a hug. "I keep thinking what did I do? Was I not good enough."

Adaline shook her head before pulling Burgundy close. "Listen Burgundy it wasn't you... You were beyond good enough." "Then what was it?." "Baby some things are not ment to be and some are it just comes in time like your father and I we didn't get together right away it took years, months, weeks, days. Eventually we did but not right away good things take time you know." Adaline says stroking her daughter's red long locks. Some silence passed before Burgundy spoke.

"Tell me the story....of you and dad." Adaline looked at her. "I don't know Burg, it's really long and it's late and-" "Please?, it might help me get over Todd." Adaline nodded before speaking. "Oh alright, It was the summer of 2008 here in Wilmington. I was a sophomore at the university of Wilmington when I met your father working at my Aunt and Uncles hotel down at Carolina beach. He was young, I was young and this is how the story goes."
