With a thud Adrien landed in his room.
'Claws in.' He said exhausted.
He practically ran to his bed. He felt sick, his whole body was hot and he had a headache.
'Way to go Agreste, you get rejected so you just get sick.' Adrien mumbled to himself.
'Are you okay kid?' Plagg asked.
'You look even worse then you did this morning.' He said again.
Adrien couldn't find the strength in his body to respond, instead he just fell asleep.
-time skip to the next day-
*marinette POV*
Adrien didn't come to school today. I mean, with the fever he had yesterday i wouldn't blame him, but still.
Marinette was worried so she decided to check up on Adrien.
*Adrien POV*
I woke up under the blankets.
"I didn't tuck myself in last night." He thought to himself.
Finally he found the strength to open his eyes and to his surprise he saw a sleeping Marinette in his chair next to his bed.
"How long have i been out for?" He thought.
But then it all came back, the rejection, he started to feel sad, unbelievably sad.
Suddenly he heard the flapping of butterfly wings.
He frantically tried to control his emotions, but it didn't work. He tried to scream Marinette awake, but nothing came out of his mouth.
He had absolutely no power to fight against the akuma, and with one single tear rolling down his eyes, the akuma took hold of him.
*Marinette POV*
I heard a growling noise and slowly opened my eyes to see where it came from, but to my terror i saw a purple glow around Adrien.
She had no idea what to do or where to go.
Suddenly the purple glow dissapeared and she saw two yellow eyes peering at her beneath a white mask.
'A-Adrien?' She said quietly.
'I'm not Adrien anymore.' He said with a devilish grin.
'I'm Chat Blanc now.' He said the grin slowly dissapearing.
All she could do was stare at him, when slowly her vision was being blocked by tears wich were slowly forming in her eyes.
'Don't cry Princess, i won't hurt you, because you didn't hurt me. The one who should be scared is Ladybug.' He said.
When he called her other halfs name, shivers went down her spine. The way he said it paired with the look he gave her made her terrified.
She couldn't help it as one single tear left her eye. She frantically tried to wipe the tear away but Chat seemed to have noticed.
'What? Don't like the new suit?' He asked almost laughing.
'NO!' She said furious.
Something in his eyes darkened.
He hunched forward and Marinette blocked her head with her arms waiting for her to be beaten up or something.
Nothing.
She felt nothing.
Slowly but surely she opened her eyes only to see that Chat was gone.
Panicked she looked around and saw that the window was open, but no cat in sight.
'Tikki, what do i do, i really don't want to fight him!' She said, finally letting the tears stream down her face.
'You have to save him Marinette.' Tikki said sympithatically.
'Tikki, SPOTS ON.' Marinette yelled and jumped out the window to find her partner.
After what seemed like hours she finally saw him. He was sitting on the Eiffel Tower, he looked like he was in pain.
She looked at her partner and again, a tear rolled down her face.
'Not now Marinette.' She said and threw her yoyo at the Eiffel Tower and pulled, she let herself be dragged through the sky by her yoyo.
The wind in her face and through her hair helped her cool down a bit and loose her anxiety.
She actually felt a little bit calm.
But that feeling went away as soon as she landed and she stood face to face with a furious Chat Noir, sorry, Chat Blanc.
His cheeks were burning red and he was sweating.
She gasped realizing he still had a fever, a really bad fever, if he's outdoing himself he could cause himself some serious harm.
'Chat...' she started.
Chat just stood there not answering, wobbling, as if he would loose his balance any moment now.
'Chat i'm sorry. I learned something new about you today... i-.'
'Marinette, what are you doing.' She heard her Kwami say somewhere in her head.
'I'm showing him who i really am.' She answered her Kwami.
Chat looked at her confused, the anger dying a little bit.
She walked towards him and grabbed his hand.
He didn't know what to do. He just stood there. Hawkmoth couldn't reach him anymore, he was too focused on Ladybug holding his hand.
His heart started beating faster, his head grew lighter by the second, he felt as if he could faint any moment now.
Ladybug was still talking, but he couldn't hear a word she said.
Suddenly she inched closer.
'I'm sorry.' She sad finally, and let their lips collide.
Her lips tasted sweet, like strawberries, and yet salty, as he looked down at her, he saw a tear rolling down onto their lips.
Suddenly his vision became blurry, he couldn't control his body anymore.
The akuma flew away and he turned back to Adrien.
Everything felt heavy, his head, his arms, his legs.
Then he finally gave in to the dragging feeling and let himself fall, but he was on the edge of the Eiffel Tower, so he fell down.
'ADRIEN!!' Ladybug yelled before she pulled him back up with her yoyo.
'I've gotta get you home.' She said after she captured the akuma.
-Time Skip Back Home-
*Adrien POV*
I woke up again feeling heavier then ever.
A small groan of pain left my mouth.
Suddenly i felt shuffeling beside me.
Then i heard a very sleepy voice talk to me.
'Adrien, are you awake?' She said.
I recognize that voice, that's... Marinette's?
He slowly opened his eyes, and when he did, he looked straight a Marinette's eyes.
As blue as the ocean, shining in the moonlight.
'Hey there sleeping beauty.' She said still halfway sleeping. Then her eyes opened real big and she started stammering.
'I-I mean not that i think your beatifull, i mean i do, your gorgeous, wait what? No wait that's not what i meant i-.'
I cut her off by giggling a bit at her behaviour. But then i immediatly stopped as a flash of pain struck me.
'Ouch.' I said quietly.
'Are you okay?'
