Deadly Passion

Chapter One

Alphonse sat, alone, on the opposite side of the inn room than Edward. Moments like these, he wish he could sleep. Those lonely, cold moments where comfort only lie in your dreams.

While over at Edward's side, he was tossing and turning. Groaning about finding the Philosopher's Stone. Honestly, Alphonse didn't care about the stone anymore. All he lost were feelings. He still had memories and that's all that really mattered to him.

It'd had been nearly four years since Edward promised their bodies back. No wonder Alphonse rarely mentioned or talked about the stone and how it could help them. He was starting to believe it was only a myth.

Edward yelped as he right fist connected with the side of his face. He was surly awake now. He sat up and rubbed his cheek, looking around the room slightly confused as to what hit him. This is how most mornings were.

"Good morning, Brother." Alphonse spoke and watched his elder brother stretch. He shuttered at the thought of sleeping in such uncomfortable metal attached to his nerves and bones, as Edward did.

"Morning, Al." Edward yawned and sat up, pulling on his pants and standing. He searched for his jacket, groaning as he didn't find it immediately.

Alphonse cleared his voice, catching Edward's attention, "Brother." He pointed to the end of Edward's inn bed.

Edward smiled and laughed before pulling on his jacket and gloves. Alphonse, whom was watching quite amused as his brother searched for his shoes, resisted to let out a laugh. The shoes were in plain sight, literally in front of Edward's face.

He managed to find them and put them on.

"Ready to go?" Edward asked and walked toward his brother. Alphonse only nodded and stood, both walking out the door and returning their room key before heading off.

I know this isn't really going anywhere right now, but this is my first FMA fanfic.
