As Max walked down the busy McKinley high hallways, he sighed. He had no idea what he was doing, where he was going, or even who he was. He had no idea where Blaine was; And he was the only kid in the entire school who would talk to him.
He sighed. Another long year of being the new, dorky kid.
Max walked to Blaine's locker, leaned against it, and waiting for his gelled hair, bowtie wearing friend.
Max snickered. Friend? He thought. Blaine wasn't his friend. He was obligated to hang out with him; After all he was his-
Max's thoughts are interrupted by a kiss on his cheek. He looked up. A pale, handsome boy with soft brown hair looked down at him, smiling as if it was perfectly normal that he just kissed a complete stranger.
“Hey, babe.” The guy said, smiling.
Max looked up at him, confused.
Then, he smiled.
After all, this guy, whoever he was, was the first guy to ever pay attention to him. At his old school, guys usually ran in terror when they saw him; Or they threw him in dumpsters. Whichever they thought was a better chance of not catching Max's gay.
“What did you do to your hair?” The guy asked, fiddling with Max's curly black hair. “I like it. Your gel was always a bit... weird.”
Wait, what? Max thought. Gel?!?!
Max looked up at the angelic, porcelain skinned boy and suddenly realized; This was Blaine's boyfriend. It must be.
Before Max could say anything else to the boy, Blaine walked over, confused.
“Hey, Kurt.” He said, starring at Max in a why-is-my-man-touching-your-hair-back-off-bitch kind of way.
Kurt suddenly looked as if he had been hit by a bus.
A big gay bus.
He looked at Blaine. Then Max. Then Blaine. Then Max.
“Wait...” Kurt said, looking at Max. “You're, you're not Blaine?”
Max shook his head, looking at his scuffed up converse.
“Well, duh!” Blaine yelled, throwing his hands up into the air.
Kurt suddenly looked terrified.
“Oh my god, I am so sorry Blaine!” He apologized, hugging Blaine. “It's just... I thought....But you guys look so much alike....”
“We're cousins.” Max said, finally finding his voice since the devilishly handsome boy came into his life 2 minuets ago.
“Wait, what?” Kurt asked, puzzled.
“Max is my cousin. He's staying with us for a while because his parents are de-” Blaine trailed off, suddenly looking very sad.
Kurt looked confused for a moment, then suddenly caught on.
“Oh my god, I'm so sorry.”
Max smiled. “Thanks.”
“Anyway, since our moms were twins, and our dads were twins, we came out looking somewhat similar.” Blaine said, trying to explain to Kurt why he looked exactly like his younger cousin, minus the hair and fashion-sense.
“Somewhat?” Kurt yelled. “You guys look the exact same!” Kurt pushed Blaine next to Max.
“Same height, same hair, if you stopped putting gel in it, Blaine,” Blaine shook his head, “Same eyes, same handsome face.... You guys could be twins!” Max blushed at all the complements, but Kurt nor Blaine didn't notice.
“How has some girl not already snatched you up?” Kurt laughed, throwing his arm around Blaine.
“I'm gay.” Max mumbled. He knew that Kurt wouldn't judge him; After all, he was gay himself. However, Max had grown acustom to people bashing him for who he was."
Kurt giggled. “There's another similarity. You guys have the same tastes."
Blaine laughed. “As long as he doesn't have the same taste for my Kurt!” Blaine grabbed Kurts hand, planted a kiss on his cheek, and ignored all the stares from the students around him.
Max walked behind them, noticing how perfect Kurt looked while he walked (or shall he say floated?) down the hallway.
Little did Blaine know, Max did have a taste for “his Kurt.”
And he planned on acting on it.
